Sheldon, Dan has sent me the same e-mail 10 days ago and I have asked him which doctor is he working with he told me Dr.Casavantes in Tijuana Mexico. Did you ask Dan, if one does decide to go with him, how is going to help out? Drive one down to Dr. C's office in Mexico? Change one's bandages? Bathe one? Did you ask Dan how much he charges ($$$) for his surgical broker's fee in regards to PMMA? Where does his knowledge of the best way to take care of a PMMA patient post-op and for PMMA in general come from? (I wonder how much knowledge he would have of PMMA if it wasn't for this forum...(LOL).

@ Smartman - I am not doubting that Dan Salas wrote to you and said that he is working with Dr. Casavantes. Has anyone check out Dan Salas' site, Phallocare.com? It mentions Dr. Knight. phallocare.com/about.htmlI have worked with a number of different surgeons over the years and I consider Dr. Mark Knight and his surgical techniques to be the best in the world and the most effective I've ever seen. Additionally, my staff of counselors have all had this procedure themselves so you will always be treated with empathy and respect when you talk to us. Essentially, we have all been in your position before and understand exactly why you have chosen to enlarge your penis. It also mentions here that Dan Salas has a staff. Does anyone know who is on Dan's staff? Chad Hedman?? It states all of Dan's staff has had PE: Additionally, my staff of counselors have all had this procedure themselves. Did his staff have surgery with Dr. Knight, Dr. Casavantes, or some other doctor?

yowuzgoodA scam would be purchasing one thing and getting another. In that respect, I don't believe Dan Salas is any kind of scam (to my knowledge). The problem expressed about Dan in this thread is his work as a broker. According to correspondences as well as messages posted by Dan's friends (8ball & lastime), it appears that Dan will refer you to a doctor at a fee. He may call this fee any number of terms (educator, coaching, post-op care, etc), but what you need to know is that it isn't mandatory. You can forgo his services and pay the doctor directly (which would save you some cash). If you prefer to have someone aid you in post-op care, then Dan could assist you with that. Keep in mind, there is an abundance of information and support here on these forums that are comparable to Dan's knowledge database at no additional cost. Dr. Camacho is a plastic surgeon recommended by Dr. Casavantes. In my humble opinion, Dr. Casavantes's recommendations hold weight.

Your response as well as others are appreciated. When the ligaments are cut for lengthening surgery, flaccid length is most readily available and there usually is some erect gain as well, but it is important to stretch post-operatively using a device such as thegrip, the Bib, or autoextender/JES extender.

Which system do u recommend ? And from your knowledge do you think belladerm is a good method for lengthening and girth surgey? Many feel it is best to stage the surgeries in order to get the best results. For example one of our moderators, idm, feels this way, Dr. Reed and Jim Matthewuse of thgrip. As far as I know, belladerm is just for girth, not length. If you do decide to get the stage surgery, talk with guys who have used thegrip, the Bib, autoextender/JES extender, and Dan Salas' device. Stretching must be done after lengthening surgery in order to obtain the best results - both 'heavy' stretching and light-weight/ADS to obtain gains. Here are some links you may find helpful: phalloplasty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=nonsurgical&action=display&thread=54phalloplasty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=articles&action=display&thread=294&page=5some good examples of heavy weight and light weight/ADS here. I don't know if I would start off with that heavy of weight. Best to start gradually and under the guidance of your PE surgeon. Jim Matthewuse can give you some good advice about post-op stretching.

@ sheldon thanks a lot! I was wondering do you think if its a good idea to start of with the penile devices(i.e. "the grip") first and see how much i gain as far as length is concern and eventually opt to girth surgery instead ot having both procedures done...idk if that makes any sense....let me know!!! thanks in advance!

yowuzgood... for cutting the ligs, dr camacho-melo may be fine. He may not be a doctor to do reconstructive surgeries of previous procedures. His reconstructive advice to me was quite different than the advice of the US docs. Of course, just my opinion.

You CAN gain length using thegrip, the Bib, or autoextender/JES extender without surgery, but the gains will be slower than if you had lengthening surgery. Jim Matthewuse of thegrip said, it may take up to two months of consistent use before seeing length gains without lengthening surgery. By consistent use that means a session of heavy weights followed by 6-8 hours of ADS/light weight use. The reason why I favor thegrip is you can talk to the owner/inventor on the toll-free number for free advice on stretching and questions about thegrip in general. If he or Alan/Allen are not busy, they will gladly explain all about thegrip system. (Ask him about Dan Salas ) If you are going to buy one of thegrip packages, I would get the economy one and possible the leg pulley system and/or waist strap (don't buy the weights - just because you can get cheaper weights from almost any sporting goods store). www.thegrip.com/grip/asp/asp_products.aspwww.thegrip.com/grip/asp/asp_pricing.aspIf you buy thegrip or one of the aforementioned devices and use it sparingly it probably won't hurt you, but if you have lengthening surgery and are inconsistent with your stretching, you may wind up actually LOSING length. If you are thinking about length and girth surgery, I would highly recommend stretching first because I am not sure how much PMMA and alloderm/belladerm stretches. I hope this helps. If you are thinking about lengthening surgery you may want to look at Dr. Giunta, Dr. Reed, Dr. Alter, and the TX phalloplasty institute. I know there has been a discussion about length gains here on the forum but check out the Dr. Ollie Bayard Fischer-Santos thread. His patient is in the world record books for having gained ~6inches by surgery and post-op stretching. That should be an incentive for anyone here. I hope I answered your question the best I could.

I honestly have been talking to Dan Salas for over 3 months and haven't had that impression of him at all... I am a native New Yorker and a therapist.. I've done my assessment and I have not experienced that type of rapport or get the feeling I am being taken advantage of... Maybe I am naive ... But I seriously doubt it... In addition, I haven't heard any talks or service fee for his service as of yet. The scope of our conversation is my own indecisiveness about which doctor to choose, additional research on techniques and importantly the long term effects post op( due to the distance of where I live).b4 I put myself thru this emotional life changing experience, I want to make sure I don't make the wrong choice or worse get another surgery... Honestly(no b/s) Dan has been helping me through this. I hope you guys believe me.... Really have no reason to lie... We all want or have got assistant with things in our life... Why not have someone who has gone thru and understand be your right hand man... It's no different from a person needing assistance in care.. Dan has made a living with this... This is True. But y knock the guy for doing something that he is passionate about.... Now I think I said enough and I am sure I am going to get a lot of arguments and debate.... But this is what I have encountered thus far and I hope it gives you an idea of what I am about as well. Please excuse my grammar as I am at wrk on my phone!
