Hi guys, I'm wondering if many of the guys who have had a PE surgery get a lot of hair growing up the shaft. I'm assuming it's from the suprapubic area getting pulled out onto the shaft as the skin gets stretched from the quick girth gains. I also had this problem before I got the implant, when I was trying to stretch out some loose skin to get the look of having some foreskin. Anyway I have a good tip for any of you that are running into this, and I'm sure more and more guys will as the PMMA becomes more attractive. From what I gather the PMMA is somewhat heavy like the implant and after time it will pull more and more (hairy) skin out onto the shaft. Back to my tip: I found out, through trial and error, that electrolysis is better at keeping the hair from growing back than laser treatments. They both hurt like hell, (but nothing compared to having an implant put in). I suppose if a guy wants to shave, almost every day, you could do that. Personally, I like to have a hairless and stuble-less dick, so it is well worth the time and money, to have it removed by electrolysis. It does take a few treatments, but I am really glad I found out about how nicely electrolysis does the job! and no...... I don't work for any electrolysis salon or equipment provider! I know...... it's our job to be skeptical! I hope enough guys are interested in this topic to warrant a new thread, good luck all!

Good one Mark. I shave every two to three days but I cut myself a few times and that caused some scarring of the penile skin. I will look into your solution. Thx for the advise.

I have shaft hair too. And I shave up to the base of the penis to make it look longer. Is electrolosis permanent?

I'm a naturally hairy guy and with no PE at all I have hair that grows up the backside all the way up to the cut line. Not much mind you, but enough to warrant leaving a razor in the shower for a quick wick every other day. I've never cut myself though. Ouch!
I had thought about a permanent hair removal process, as I've had my back down in the past but would likely turn seven shades of red just asking for them to zap my package.

@gsxr_ yes it is permanant although a few grow back each time but they are a lot finer and then easier to make permanant on the next treatment, I've gone 4 times and no longer have any come back except for the fact that the weight is still bringing more down, so I will probably go back in a while. edupd- don't worry about it. I looked for the oldest, (sometiems you can tell by the name, re:Agnes) and she happens to be over weight and unattractive as well. I've never gotten a chub, partly because it really hurts! Also be sure to have sex or masturbate not long before and take a bunch of Ibuprophen, or better yet a narcotic, which helps for pain and to keep unwanted chubs arising! lol , @mustang- your welcome brother, it's well worth the trouble to never have to worry about shaving! take care

Electrolysis is an option, a bit painful but more importantly, needs to be performed on a fairly ongoing basis (though SOME of the hair won't grow back). Those interested in permanent hair removal from the shaft should consult w/ a highly experienced dermatologist and/or cosmetic surgeon who performs laser hair removal. Its permanent. The challenge may be finding a doctor to use laser on the penile shaft. I think as long as the area which needs to be treated it not close to the glans, you will find a doctor to treat this.
ALSO, for those of us who have scars as a result of surgical incisions, its possible to undergo laser treatment to refine the skin and in many cases drastically improve the appearance (if not completely remove) the visability of the scar. Scars must be Lmature scara" meaning at least a year old to be treated...the older the scar the better if I'm not mistaken.
Cheers!

idm; What about the home laser kits? Are they worth it? It seems to me that after about 6 laser treatments you could pay for an at home kit. I realize there are some issues with possible misuse, although that can be said about many products. Funny story though, recently tried using NEET as I was tired of shaving all the time. Somehow I managed to put a hand print on my stomach (I had lots of hair there). Didn't realize it until my wife started laughing her ass off. Had to go back into the shower and finish the job so my hair could grow back evenly. I think that is the last time I'll try that one.

Well maybe it's a case of -what works best for one, may not for another. Because I had both treatments done..... and the hair came back even faster and not as fine with laser treatments as opposed to electrolysis. I went to a laser center, not an MD for the laser treatments. I think it would get pretty expensive to have an actual dermatologist do it...... but if a guy isn't worried about expense? @ IDM -It sounds like you've had both types of treatments, since you said electrolysis was painful. Did you not find the laser sessions painful? in my case it seemed a little more painful than electrolysis, did you have an actual dermatologist do your work ? maybe thats why? anyway, I know for me electrolysis works..... yes it takes a few treatments, but after 4 trips, I don't have any hair, or I should say very, very few coming back now in the area that was treated all 4 of those times, and they are so fine and short that you'd practically need a microscope to find them. Electrolysis cost's about 50 bucks per treatment (the price I paid anyway) and the 2 laser treatments I had cost $250.00 each!! Once again this is MY experience with shaft hair removal..... not saying it's the best for everyone, but for the money that came out of my pocket...... I'll go back for electrolysis if more hair gets pulled onto the shaft again. Also, it was much easier than I thought to find people, usually it's women that do this, to work on the penis, like I said in my first post, the older gals were more willing, and I'd rather have them do it anyway. About half of the women I called were willing to work on the penis, and then I chose which one to go to from our phone conversations. The gal that does my electrolysis work is pure professional and easy going... no big deal after the initial minute or two. I'll be happy to answer any other questions about my experiences if I didn't touch on something that anyone's wondering about. Good luck all!!

Laser hair removal (and IPL) is affected by individual pigmentation, so your mileage may vary. The goal is to use light wavelengths that will heat the pigment in the hair but not the skin, to deactivate the follicle.
If you've got fair skin and dark hair then you can choose from the most laser hair removal services, and you can even use some home systems like Tria and Silk'N.
If you've got dark skin then you're more limited. Very dark skin can only be treated with particular laser wavelengths by a skilled operator because it can be difficult to treat the follicles without burning the patient's skin.
And you can't even use laser treatments if you've got light, white, or blond hair regardless of your skin; there just isn't enough pigment in the hair. Electrolysis is still an option.
