Hey Folks,
There are a few comments here and there about recommended procedures to take post surgery. Such as using a stretching device and also wrapping. Could the folks that mention these please explain them in detail. My appointment got moved up to next Friday and to me it's just logical to use them to maintain the shape/form of your penis.

EYC, Pro lemperle said to me in an email that wrapping for a few weeks may help to keep a decent shape. It makes some sense, it might help to maintain more of a cylindrical shape which I guess is the ideal. Also keeping warm to prevent turtling seems like a good idea.

Hey mike, I think I read your post about it. I think wrapping is a good idea but do you think you could ask the good prof to specifically explain what he means by wrapping. I'm looking for the steps and process in involved. I'm being a little anal about it because it's my dick and I don't want to screw it up using an elastic wrap when a cloth/guaze one is needed because the elastic one will squish the PMMA to the ends or something. So if folks can explain in detail the process' I would forever be in your debt. A week away and I want to have this planned out.... it's my dick.

EYC, I'll see what I can do for you, but I should say I don't know the guy, I have only exchanged 4 emails with him and of course I don't want to keep pestering him. My main concern was to discuss general pmma safety issues with him and from what he says he hasn't had any direct experience of penile injections.
I shouldn't think there's anything complicated about wrapping, you could use a variety of bandages. I am only guessing but I would imagine that the idea behind wrapping is to keep your penis more cylindrical and squash any bumps until the carrier disappears and the new tissue forms. At the same time others tell us it may be a good idea to use an extender for a while.
I have tried to theorize about whether there it could beneficial to wrap, but so often with the body, theory and practise are two different things. I can't be sure. But I guess there's no downside to it. Ask Dr C what he thinks.
But here's an extract of Lemperle's email where he mentions wrapping:
"I have no experience with penile injections since I am retired in San Diego and just teaching at UCSD. But this a question Dr. Casavantes can answer.... However, in contrast to Macrolane, which remains a gel = volumenizer until it is reabsorbed, PMMA microspheres become encapsulated with connective tissue and capillaries within 4 weeks and therefore fixed to the tissue e.g. the Dartos fascia. And remain there as a "living implant" for the rest of your life. So I imagine , having the penis wrapped for 4 weeks after the injection day and night appears to be crucial for an even result ! - "

What about using a light weight sleeve from autoextender for a few weeks after PMMA to help with the shape/distribution of the PMMA? autoextender.com/xleeve.html
