Really looks great mark! Though you're increase is substantial, I'm wondering if part of the success in your case was due to a more modest size implant (an intelligent choice in my opinion if choosing this method) AND a combination of NOT stitching internally @ the glans. I'm also curious if the choice of size was yours or his suggestion?? As long as this procedure is going to remain an option for men, I'd like to know the doctor Is making every effort to make the keenest of observations in his cases but especially not cases like yours and contrast them to the less successful endeavors. There must be reasons for successes and reasons for failures. All of these procedures, especially this one, require patience and a meticulous attention to detail by the surgeon. Unfortunately so many of these doctors ultimately do themselves a disservice by rushing around, rushing through procedures, and by simply not being present enough for their patients. Perhaps a lot of the complications we've seen could have been avoided, had there been better-(more poised and specific) pre-operative communication? Its important for doctors (no matter how long they've been in practice), to remain interested in gathering information relative to their specialty, assess that information and present it in a clear, matter of fact manner...(benefits and risks). When business is conducted in a systematic, methodical, organized manner, it creates better conditions for learning, refining techniques and heightens patient trust because this method of operation is rooted in a positive moral ethic, one that is primarily focused on patient wellfare. I wish you continued Good health. Idm Final gains have gone down since I last measured, at about 3 months. Anyway pre op I was at 5- 1/4" now I'm at 6- 1/2" this is mid shaft erect. I think the 2'' a lot of guys claim could be at the very widest part (base) and with the extra large implant, or they were measuring before all the swelling went down. The capsule amounts to zilch, very thin. . but still a full inch and a quarter isn't bad and makes a big difference in the bedroom, for me anyway. By the way I'm still 5- 3/4" length.... same as always.

Idm, You hit the nail on the head with that post. Especially with the statement below. As much as I wish it weren't the case, all cosmetic surgeons as far as I'm concerned are in it to make a buck and are willing to compromise the patients welfare when push comes to shove. Sure it would be great if the success ratio was very high as that would mean more business for the doctor but the amount of energy it would take to invest into getting to that point seems too much for most cosmetic surgeons to invest at the end of the day. As a side comment; I really do believe after being on both the original MNS forum, the new MNS forum and now this forum that there is probably more progress being made on the forums, at least in terms of ideas and logical analysis than what is being done by the majority of the phalloplasty surgeons. And honestly, I don't think that is a good reflection on the surgeons at all.

MarknMau, I think before your surgery we had the same size penis. I am really considering the surgery. How much has the surgery affected your partners sexual experience. I guess what I want to know, is does the added girth make sex the bonding experience it is supposed to be?

Guys, After reading about stiching the implant...I have come to the realisation that my implant is not stitched at the head....I can actually fold the implant longways where it seperates from the penis...And mine also retracts into the implant...Which is one of the few problems I have but not my biggest complaint...I fugure one day my date, etc. will have to see me in a flaccid state and I will ask her "do you like the girth". Then the implant comes with the territory...The main complaint I have is that the right side of the implant (since not stitched) backed away from the head about 1/2"...Therefore i have a front edge on the implant that I believe is the source of complaints I have had from sex partners...Too freakin scared to entertain the thought of gettin it replaced (due to the implant being too short on one side) and risk length loss or other crap...From what I have read alot of guys have had length loss if the implant is removed...Correct?

There has been a lot of feedback about loosing erect length after the removal of an implant, but I think if you replace it with another implant, the CHANCES of loss are minimized because the implant forces the penis to be stretched all the time. The Dr. tells us they will be no loss at all, but there seem to be some loss to most patient's penises.
If you were not stitched and you did not loose any length, an implant replacement may not be a problem if all else goes well.
BTW, what kind of complaint did your partners say to you about your implant (if you do not mind sharing)

I have spoken with a couple of guys in the elevator of the Elist builiding, during my appointments, and they have experienced the same thing. This includes myself as well, major loss of penis length and the way it behaves. It will or may, stick straight out, sort of bunched up into the pubic bone area. Mine does not hang anymore, it points to 3 oclock all the time. However, when erect, it points to 1 o clock, which it good. I have been hanging for months now, and have gained back some length. So now, im gaining, and also have better erection quality or angle. Im still in desperate need of at least 1 inch to be content. But i am confident i can get this with natural penis enlargement.

I was going to PM you but I thought it would be better for all of us to share this info. How do you hang with the implant? Are you stitched? (sorry if you had answered this b4, but I can't remember all the details of all the members!) and did you have ur ligs cut? and how much did you loose?
FYI, I have the implant and no lig cut, lost about an 1.25", now I think I have gained .25" back w/o any stretching. I tried a bit of stretching b4 and I think I disturbed the stitches and it hurt for days so I stopped.

In response to some questions and some comments, sorry I've been away for awhile. idm: Thanks, and yes, I agree with your assessment about sticking to a reasonable size when considering this option, and that the lack of stitching could have helped as well, (with my success). jckcc: As far as how has it affected my partners enjoyment? and does it make sex the bonding experience it is supposed to be? well that second one is a very subjective, complicated and personal one to answer......first of all each person has to define on their own what a bonding experience means to them, and then decide if they want sex to be a bonding experience with a certain partner or not, and then try to imagine if a bigger penis would make it a more bonding experience or not??? a lot of shit goes into a bonding experience, and only a small part of it has to do with penis size. You said you have the same measurements as I had pre-surg right?? well then you shouldn't have any trouble bonding because of penis size, you're at least average size! I guess what I'm getting at is: the implant is NOT the instant magical answer to a powerful deep love that a couple can attain, I'm not even sure it has made my wife and I more bonded or not. She does seem to climax a little bit easier now, and she does seem to like it OK.... but really.... she doesn't seem to think it's all that big a deal. That being said, every situation is going to be different, maybe there are some women out there who just don't come much but would with an extra inch and a quarter?? I don't know? I do kind of wish I would have done this when I was single, so I could try it out on a few different ladies, but this is my reality so? Sorry but thats about all I can say as far as my partners experience......... like you asked, but ..... what you might concern your self more with is what does it do for YOUR sexual experience? that I can be more specific on. I really like it! it feels tighter, even though she is pretty tight to begin with, and I just like the feeling. I personally think guys who have been circumsized, like me, have less sensation from their dicks than uncut guys, I wish I was uncut, in fact thats why I went to Elist to begin with, but thats a long story. so anyway, I love the feeeling and can come easier since the implant was placed, so there you have it. biglove: congrats! at least you didn't have any complications. I think the sharpness of that ridge you feel will lessen as time goes by and the capsule forms etc., If I'm not really hard, sometimes I can get hung up a bit going in too, I know what you mean, it's not bad though for me anyways. Are you sure you didn't get the glans stitching? We are the very few if not, I'm glad I didn't though.... personally. One less thing to go wrong. hang in there and post anymore details if you can. Lastime: hey man, don't worry too much about your dick not hanging yet.... it will! just takes awhile. I used to stick out for the first few months, now I'm hangin' low and it's not so "anchored" at the base at all anymore. moves all around comfortably. If I'm laying on my back it just lays right down on the belly, I don't even notice it any more, unless I'm using it of course! lol how long have you had it? it gets more natural feeling, don't worry. Also it's good to hear regularguy is doing well! and Uncle JJ ! but lets have some details! Unc Hey Mustang good to hear you may be getting some of your length back! otherwise it's all good huh? take care all

Hey, Mark: It is good to hear from you. You inspire all of us. Those photos affirm that you have the perfect penis. Good luck. My penis stuck straight out at first, but lately has turned down. It has not given me a moment's problem. Keep posting...
