This is a serious issue. I can't help but speculate, as admin did previously that there may be individuals w/the the "pe community" that may in fact be trying to derail this very valuable site as the factual information available here may be affecting their agenda.
I personally would like to express my gratitude to Admin for the establishment of this site and to proboards for providing the space for this forum.
I hope proboards fully understands that this is an informational site, which provides a place for mature discussions specific to phalloplasty.
Phalloplasty, otherwise known as penile augmentation is performed surgically and by other means which include but are not limited to, utilizing medical devices for the purpose of enlarging the phallus. Phalloplasty procedures are sought by many men from all walks of life for various reasons.
Yes, often men seek augmentation for aesthetic purposes alone, which is not unlike women seeking breast enlargement.
It is important to note that breast augmentation has become commonplace for women and it appears there is a double standard here. Surgical Before and after photos of women are all over the net (on physicians sites and elsewhere), depicting results of surgeries. These surgeries for women, I might add, are not limited to the breasts but also images are available showing pre/post op results of other cosmetic procedures specific to genitalia.
These images, not unlike the images men post here, are NOT adult filmsographic in nature.
In fact, upon proboards request, we can provide several website of physicians, who offer very similar photographic accounts of patients before/after images.
Discussions here are mature and respectful.
Finally, I think its important to note that though the topic we discuss here is not yet as mainstream as cosmetic procedures for women, it is an area that is gaining considerable popularity and acceptance w/in the medical community. And many of the photographic examples on this site are not unlike those which can be found on the sites of physicians who provide these medical services for men.
As a student preparing for professional studies in medicine, I'd like to reiterate that the purpose of this site is essentially to discuss the various, established medical procedures which are both currently available to men (for a specific purpose) as well as those which may be in development.
I can attest to having personally derived benefit from being a participant of this forum...I know many other share my sentiments.
This site holds a very important purpose, perhaps especially for those men (patients) who have been medical conditions...genital abnormalities, such as severe retractile penis, micro penis, hidden penis.
Currently this IS the source where these types of issues can be discussed, with the goal of helping men realize treatment options and connect with the appropriate health care provider.
Finally, it is my opinion that the administrator of this site a gentleman has demonstrated consistently his desire to maintain a a superior level of communication/discussion of a mature topic, always in a positive and professional manner. From the inception of this site has maintained impeccable standards for communication and had demonstrated through his maintainance/communications w/the community here the importance of thoughful behavior in discussing a topic which can easily be misunderstood or misinterpreted.
Thanks to proboards for your consideration in allowing this forum to continue.
