Stormy
I will go back and try to find the blogs. I have countless hours of internet research on this subject (lol).
Does anyone know why one Doctor can inject 30 ml of PMMA and get a modest increase but another Doctor can inject 30 ml and get a much larger increase?

Hi there E.M-
I think a lot is relative to what your starting off with...
But it maybe helpful to know that real pmma, used as an injectable filler is surrounded by a "biosphere" of collagen which transports and contains the product...eventually the biosphere absorbs-With introduction of the material itself, it acts as a catalyst in collagen synthesis, which means as the products biosphere absorbs, our body reacts to its presence by developing its own collagen around the pmma.
We can speculate that some bodies react differently thus producing more collagen around the pmma than others.
We also don't know w/absolute certainty that the different subjects you're referring to both actually had the same product and the exact same amount. In some countries they say they're using pmma and they're actually using other substances.
Just my thoughts.

One is using New Plastic and the other is using Meticril (Both medical PMMA). I wonder if its different amounts of actual PMMA being used. Maybe they are both injecting 30 ml but one may be mixing more PMMA than the other (?) so when the biosphere absorbs one is left with more PMMA. It consistently appears that one Dr's results are larger than the other Doctor (it might be just the pictures) but both say they inject 30 ml.

@envision I haven't thoroughly researched all the Brazilian options but I would select experience over cost. @gsxr, we look forward to hearing about your progress, the best of wishes and happy healing from PhalloBoards. When you actually meet the doctor in person, could you ask him if he would consider more (staged) injections if the patient truly was under average? As always, you are welcome to start your own thread detailing your journey, hope you gain!

This is a very interesting read. It's the full veriosn of the study posted by someone earlier in this thread. There are some horrible photo's of what happens when PMMA causes necrosis. It also seems that some people get infections upto 10 years later. I really want to find out if much of these problems can be avoided if the stuff administered correctly. Are these issue's more to do with the Dr's injecting the stuff or simply down to how the individual responds to it. I think necrosis has to be the biggest worry, though they only cite 2 cases. But necrosis can happen with any type of surgery it seems. There was a guy on MNS who had necrosis after FFT with Giunta. www.juliogoelzer.com.br/complicacoes_metacrilato.pdf

when you say you're under average what is your girth? @envision I haven't thoroughly researched all the Brazilian options but I would select experience over cost. @gsxr, we look forward to hearing about your progress, the best of wishes and happy healing from PhalloBoards.
