@yardstick, Were you a smoker or steroid user when you had your surgery with Rosenthal? Sometimes these can factor in less than optimal results. By the way, I am NOT defending Rosenthal. His actions speak volumes - no compassion from the man. What chutzpah to send you a used grip system! I hope things work out for you and maybe Alter, Reed, or Elist (yes Elist, after all he did revision surgery on Chad Hedman) can help you. Feel bad for you...

Did you contact Alter or Elist or Reed to see if they can help you? I sincerely hope one of those MD's can.

Believe it or not, I actually think that the new implant may help you. It will force your penis to stay stretched 24/7 which is one of the advantages of the implant (can be annoying sometimes too). The girth is guaranteed. If you have no infection and the Dr. does a good job, it may be one option to consider. I think PMMA may not be a good choice at this stage due to your loss of length. Good luck in any decision you make.

Personally I'd be very wary of the implant, many people were promised length gains from it, did any actually gain ? The only way the implant can stretch your dick is by pushing on the skin at the your glans end. That's what happened with Silicon Disaster and the implant actually broke through the skin !

@mustang
Haven't you lost some length due to the implant? I'm just curious to know what makes the "newer" implant any safer in that regard. Also, if it were helpful in maintaining/adding length, would you be considering the removal of the one you have now and the introduction of the newer model? I was under the impression you were not satisfied with the minor setbacks you experienced with the implant.
I'm not sure PMMA would be any less or more effective in preventing length loss than the Elist implant, since both induce a sort of anti-turtling.

I should also add, if "staying stretched 24/7" was all you needed, I'd strongly recommend an ADS (all-day stretcher) rather than $10,000 on an investment that has reports of actual length loss! You probably wouldn't spend more than $150-$300 on a good ADS and have virtually no risk of length loss (assuming used correctly & safely) while possibly adding a little to length to your penis (though no guarantees with either ADS or implant).

Absolutely agree on this one SO...There's a lot to be said for non surgical enlargement....

I am still considering the new implant AFTER I speak to the Dr face to face and if he answers my questions to my satisfaction, else PMMA will be my other option at this time unless something else comes up in the next few months. The implant has its draw backs of course, but it also has been good in the sex department. I keep all the options on the table!

Yeah, I hope you were able to get some length gains. Please keep up abreast of your progress. Has Rosenthal treated you any better?

Sorry to hear about that man. It is never appropriate for a doctor to abandon any patient. If you are losing girth, do you believe it is because the graft is being absorbed or breaking down?

Hey Yardstick Sorry about that...Just keep on stretching and don't give up. You know, these shady doctors, like Dr. Elist and Rosenthal, are getting away with these crimes because phalloplasty is still something that is embarrassing for most patients to report the malpractice… It would make a great piece for investigative reporting in a newspaper, news journal, or news program… Hang (literally) in there buddy….
