I am linking this in hopes that it will allow members to better visualize goals if they choose to undergo any type of phalloplasty. I cannot verify how accurate the website is as far as the "visualizing," is concerned, but it can be fun to toy around with. I also want to stress the importance of keeping size in perspective (yet again, and many times more). www.thevisualiser.net/

Thanks SO for that link - it helped me realize that the only way to get to average size is to get the ligs cut and PMMA.

The "averages" listed on that website are not to be taken as factual or legitimate. The only useful thing that website provides as far as I can tell is to better visualize what a gain would look like.
There should be away to compare a 2-Dimensional "Visualization" of your current penis and a potential post-op penis. I would personally recommend not adding more than 2 - 2.5" inches to the girth (maximum) and 1 - 1.5" to the length (maximum) to your potential post-op model if you wish to stay within the realm of realism.

Well, I shouldn't say they are out-right illegitimate, however, they can't be verified as 100% accurate either (as far as the "averages" are concerned).

Yes some of the measurements especially adult films start are exaggerated. But the gold members have to be verified so you have to send pictures with ruler tape measure etc to get accepted. but the useful one are the various average studies from Kinsey to Durex and that really ought to help us to hopefully make sound judgments. Good call!

justabitmoreYea I saw this on Thundersplace, and have been meaning to post this. Your post in the other thread was what actually reminded me Outside links are acceptable as long as they aren't commercial in nature. Links to Explicit Adult Content is strictly prohibited. Occasionally I'll allow links for PE equipment, supplements, etc to be posted on the forum as long as they are in context with the topic at hand. Anytime in doubt, check out the forum rules in my signature (or at the Feedback Forum)...if it doesn't violate any of those rules than it should be good to go.

The gold members are likely to be slightly bigger than average, as bigger guys are more likely to send photos. You could argue otherwie, but simply ask the members of this site if they are more likely to send photo's pre or post PMMA! It's illogical as no one can tell who you are from a photo of your penis and a made up username, but insecurities run deep and so even sending an anonymous picture of your penis is hard to do it you feel it is too small. Obviously this wont be the case for all smaller guys, but enough to skew the stats. If you check out the size database at thundersplace the average is about 6 BPEL, but if you check the photo thread, the average seems bigger.

I noticed the same on another study where a medical team set up a camp outside a night club and did an all night penis study. the idea was that more people would volunteer if they had a few drinks first. The average on that study was slightly bigger than they expected but think of it who would be more likely to go to the tent and get measure? The guy with the big cock or the guy with a small one! So yes these things should be taken at face value!

I would imagine that the best stats would come from army doctors in countries where there is mandatory conscription. Only first they probably don't measure them and second they don't seem to ever get a chance to see them erect. Maybe urologists who need to do prostate checks or erection dysfunction treatments would have numerical data?
One thing I did notice is that in Japanse adult films the guys are small enough to make me feel large, and I wonder if this isn't done on purpose for the guys in the audience to come out feeling more adequate, maybe their adult film stars are purposely chosen with as small equipment as possible?

AFAIK the most reliable study is the Lifestyles Study which had medical staff measure 400 college males on vacation in Mexico.

Wouldnt small guys avoid being measured though?

poiuytrewq24ukExcellent point ! I can swear that I'd fight to the death to avoid being measured by anyone, it was very hard even in this website and in order to start a file with Dr C for me to take a tape measure to it, and even that I did in a half ass way to not be totally locked into the psychological fractions of an inch... So I will wager that this isn't only me, and that many others who suspect they may not be that well endowed would avoid this like the plague. We can therefore assume that these surveys measure guys from average to large size, and that what they call small is actually average, since it's the smallest guys who dare go and get theirs measured...
