Since I am seriously thinking about having pmma I have a question.
I have somewhat of an upward curve that starts about 3/4 down. I would not say that is it significant, but certainly noticable.
Do you think there would be any complications or difficulties with PMMA because of this?

Hi BriceB,
Not that I'm any authority, I'm actually a newbie here but have been tearing through all the discussions I can find about PMMA so I will tell you what might help.
I recall reading that curves will not prevent PMMA but that PMMA will not correct them. It is said that there is however a specific surgical procedure which does straighten them to an extent, but I did note that it was mentioned that in some cases this could result in a slightly shorter shaft length.
If you're interested you can go through the online estimate procedure including sending them pictures and they will tell you what they can do and how much it would cost.
I don't think it is really an issue for ladies unless it is for your, assuming that girth is really what rocks their boat.

H,
Thanks for the response.
The curve itself is not a concern for me and is certainly not something I would ever consider going under the knife for. It is not THAT big of a curve. I have seen pics of guys with Pyrones (spelling?) and I am nowhere near those kind of curves.
I am not expecting PMMA to correct any curve. I am just wondering if a curve (when erect) would be something that would eliminate someone from receiving PMMA or if there would be any complications, etc. I haven't heard anyone speak to this point yet. Maybe they did and I just missed it.
Any input is great.

I had an upward curve after taking the implant out. The PMMA corrected my angle. Like anything though I would discuss your particular case with the doctor.

Gless,
You had the Elist implant? So do you think when you had it removed do you think it caused scar tissue to form? I have heard of people losing length but I did not know the removal would cause a curve. Is it a distinct or subtle curve?
How long after removal did you wait to have pmma?

Yes, I am almost positive it was scar tissue. There are a few on here who had the same thing happen to them after the removal. Some regained their length as well as angle. It was a pretty extreme angle. Almost curved to my stomach. I originally lost almost 4 inches. I have since regained everything but around 1/2 inch now. I was sure I had Peyronies disease. It looked that strange. I went through with the procedure just about a month ago. I waited 8 months. It took about that long to recover.

glessYou mean you are a former Elist patient who removed their implant and then got PMMA (presumable with Dr. C) last month? Correct me if I'm mistaken? If this is the case, please consider a progress report if you have the time, I'm sure other past Elist patients would be interested. If you rather not, please definitely check in with Mustang, I know he's been contemplating the removal of his implant and a PMMA follow-up but has been undecided on the matter. If I understood you correctly, then your experiences could be very useful insight to him. Thanks.

glessI am sorry to hear your experience with the implant. I guess it is hit or miss with it. It seems there are some people that are satisfied with the results but others that have serious issues. I am sure there was a reason for removal. I mean, who would go through surgery and then removal if there wasn't a good reason? (not to mention the expense) I hope your results from PMMA are everything you want.

Yes, I am a former Elist patient who because of necrosis had to have the implant removed. It was emotionally devastating to say the least. The length loss is horrifying. I plan on telling my story in time. Mustang, my advice is if you are mentally ready for the effects of removal and understand the long road you have to recovery then PMMA is definitely a more natural feel. There is a downfall though. At least with me, the skin never truly went back to it's original elasticity. Extra skin is not beneficial for this procedure. I think those with tighter skin will have a better result. (my opinion only) And the "capsule" is real and he left it in. The result is a softish uneven feel across the shaft. Hard to explain but not good for hardness. I am going for my second procedure soon and will be able to give a better report. You can probably hide PMMA from any partner for the rest of your life. The implant is obviously detectable. But the emotional pain after removal would make me want to question it for sure. It's your decision but if everything is OK then maybe you should just thank God nothing has happened to you and stick with what you have.
