I posted at MNS under "SMLAGN." I guess I was just embarrassed so I registered under another name here. Not sure why. Regardless, I have been lurking here for quite a while. When the new site is up, I believe I owe those seeking PE my story and I will do so with pics from the beginning until now. Some know about my horror with the Elist implant, the removal, and emotional path to recovery. A very special board member helped me emotionally and because of that, it is only fitting I repay the favor. I can't promise I will stay around but at least my story and pictures will give those seeking this surgery the true risks and give comfort to those who will need it removed in the future.
Everytime I see the obvious shill dialogue going on, my blood boils. And while there are success stories, there are just as many horrors. To make an informed decision, you need both sides of the story. You have seen the pictures of successful patients. Now you will get to see mine. Angles and close ups of what the implant actually looks like and what happens when it goes wrong. After that, if you still feel that surgery is for you then go for it!

It would be interesting to see your pictures, but I believe posting picture is banned by proboards, not by SO. Welcome and sorry to read about your negative experience with the implant, but your contributions will definitely help other members with their decisions.

No need to be embarrassed, there is a lot of support on this site. Many people had problems with the implant and they need to share their stories with us. Some had successes and we need to hear them too. Please share with us your recovery and we hope you are doing better now. I am almost at the point of removing my implant so your input will be appreciated.

Even more reason to speed up the new website's launch. The lack of pictures on this forum (due to circumstances beyond our control) can be frustrating but I will make it my priority this weekend to get things squared away.
