wade told me that stretching or bandaging or any messing with it is detremental. he pretty much said to leave it alone and let it do its thing and that i had nothing to worry about. no seroma, no infection. it just happens that my penis heals slower, that's all. also to keep him updated every few days. i am very pleased with the way care about their patients. Wisher, stretching/bandaging should not be done in your case, but isn't stretching and wrapping a day or so after PMMA a good thing to do? Stretching and wrapping after PMMA needs some clarification. Wisher, glad that Wade spoke with you and hopefully the the swelling will come down shortly; glad there was no infection. Just curious - are you a smoker? Just asking, not accusing. Keep us abreast of your progress. |

sheldon - i'm an occasional/social smoker. i did ask dr. c about this and he said that it doesn't matter. but know that i think about it maybe this slowed my healing. don't know. when i asked about wrapping afterwards the dr said it isn't really done unless u have entry points the are still bleeding. as for stretching i can see the benefits. when i asked wade he didn't seem to think it was really necessary. and extenders have a base that would sit where several entry points would be, making it painful. he kept assuring that as long as you just let it hang it was all you needed.

24 days post op - i really appreciate all the support from all. it's interesting having people so far away be the ones that are here for one other. this forum is truly a great place!
Swelling is still there but it is less each day. i am able to tell how much there is by how pliable and thick the skin is in some areas. also i am noticing veins returning, giving it a more natural appearance. i haven't posted much because i've been busy and all i can do is wait for fluid to dissapear. i haven't meassured and don't really plan on doing until ALL the fluid is gone. don't wanna get my hopes up with "puffed up" numbers.

Wisher , thanks alot for updating us. It seems to be taking a little longer than most people to resolve but I think it's gradually getting better. You must be almost a month now. How's it looking now ?

Wisher , you will have a nice thick one just it need time , If I was in your place :
1- I will wait a bit longer for the next session.
2- No sex until the whole fluid is gone (my doctor advised me that time to avoid sex for 6-8 wks)
3- Sure you will need pmma injection in the basal area ,can you ask Dr.C. about the reason why you have thinner base in his opinion and how about using the extender straightaway after the injection can it solve the problem??

mikehok - yes, it was a month on tuesday.
smartman - your right. i'm already seeing that i will have to wait past 6 wks for my next treatment. i'm going to avoid sex till after my second time. luckily i'm single and i'm trying to avoid having to explain the miraculous growth to a new sex partner. sucks but i'll survive.
about the extender - i'm been thinking about this and don't see a regular one working due to the base sittinig where some of the entry points would be. even pointing down the base would be too painful. and personally my flaccid in one of those is too long to conceal. but i think i figured it out. i'm going to use the vacextender with a very light weight. i'll have to stay in TJ for a couple days so that i can wear it right away and for as long as possible while i'm there.
day 33 update - i'm starting to see those imperfections that other patients have been reffering to. i have what looks like a few "dents" that are starting to appear. not extactly sure if it is just dispersed fluid or lack of pmma in those areas. i'm kind of dissapointed i didn't get to experience the growing process like the others, but it seems like it'll be the same end result anyway. i'm also avoiding the gym because i don't want my body to do any more healing than it has to. but maybe working out might help speed up healing. don't know so i'm playing it safe.

The good thing about pmma you can add and correct any small "dents"and you increase the base , it is always better to add small amounts in different sessions than to inject big volume in one session, just dont go for the next session before June, take a pic. of your penis in erect state days before you go to see Dr.C. and show him the pic. in the clinic , Iam sure he will use a marking pen this time .
I promise you wisher you will be proud of your new penis in the future and you will forget your old thinner penis. :-))

smartman - your right. i'll def have some added at the base and to fill the gaps. the pic idea is a good one. i'll do that. june is actually when i was planning to schedule my appt. i think the final procuct will take till the end of may anyway.
mikehok - yes, swelling is decreasing in the middle. more veins are apprearing and erections are feeling firmmer. i'll try to post a couple pics in the next days so that you can see.
