@drrunnels,
I hope you got a chance to read my response on the previous page and look forward to a confirmation email. It'd also be good to begin posting in the link I placed in the previous post instead of this particular thread (please).
As for criticism, rest assured our goal here is to put out what facts we can get, positive or negative. Are there FDA and Alabama Medical Board documents floating on this site? Yes. But it is NOT designed to discredit your current method, but only to shed light on a doctor who could potentially be sticking needles in our most "precious" extremity lol. Hopefully if your procedure works and is shown to be highly safe & effective, prospective patients can pass judgment on whether or not to pursue it.
It is rare for any doctor willing to spend research & development time into a field that is obviously taboo, so I can understand the arena you are in.

Hopefully, I activated all as I'm supposed to. I'm new to the forums and not sure exactly about all the methods and rules--so be patient.
To give another update--I've started the American Cosmetic Cellular Medicine Association to try and facilitate quick sharing of notes between physicians involved in this research. That's my project for today--- making this public an rolling it out so that we can police something that's so new that the laws and methods have not caught up. Because it's not a drug (it comes from your body) it's not governed by the FDA (only the methods for making the PRFM are) so there's a need for new standard practices, etc. I'll go to the place you suggested and introduce myself.
Please be patient with some of the questions. some of them, I don't know the answers. some, I'm not ready to share with everyone yet.
I know this is maddening but I'd rather someone say--"I don't know or I'm just not ready to talk" than to tell me a bunch of nothings.
Charles

It is okay Dr. Runels. Your account registration is fine. What I meant to say was if you could email Phalloboards@yahoo.com with your charles.runels@gmail.com so that I can confirm that it is in fact you posting and not someone pretending to be you. It is just my way of reassuring members on this forum that they are communicating with the REAL doctor and not some sales associate or nurse or etc. Thanks for finding the link I sent you. You posted at the right place there and that is where forum members will place their questions (I designed it so you wouldn't have to look all over the place for the questions. Just one thread you can always go back to and check on). I strongly recommend you save this link: phalloplasty.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=articles&action=display&thread=109 to your favorite places so that you can always go back to it to see if there are any new questions.

Dr. Runels,
I, too, am very appreciative that you have come back to this forum to update us on you happenings. Now that I have read through your recent posts I am humbled and see things in a new light. I guess that when I first heard about your procedure I was like "yes, finally someone did it!" then it was like you disappeared and people were only left to speculate as to why. I am guilty of assuming negatively in that speculation, and I apologize for not considering things like the amount of work that goes into a new procedure and the criticism you must have encountered.
As Skeptical One says, many men are interested in your procedure in itself and perhaps combining it with other forms of PE. I for one am very interested and look forward to your findings and progress. If in any way I can help, do not hesitate to ask. My best to you.

sheldon & All Forum Members Direct your question(s) here: phalloplasty.proboards.com/index.....play&thread=109This way it is easier for Dr. Runels to locate and answer all the questions. I'm going to change the name of this thread to "Vlarkson's PRFM Progress Thread" from "Charles Runnels PRFM Progress Thread," so that it isn't misleading. This thread should continue to be Vlarkson's report on his gains and experience(s). I also modified ALL of the posts in this thread to read "Re: Vlarkson's PRFM Progress Thread" instead of its original "Re: ..." just in case you were wondering what that " Last Edit" was at the bottom of each post. Thanks,

Dr Runels:
I'm personally very pleased to learn you are posting on this forum...infact I'm sure many share my sentiment.
Theoretically, good science supports this treatment. I'm sure there are plenty of men here, (myself included), who would be willing participants in a trial study, especially if there were no cost (or a significantly reduced cost) to prospective patients.
As far as the, shall we say "conservative" mindset, generally speaking of course, of those in your part of the country-i empathize. You may have to move pick up and move shop, one of these days...probably sooner than later!
Please do not get discouraged and THANK YOU for being so straight forward about your work, and for your efforts in the study/potential development of this treatment. It shows a conscientiousness that unfortunately is seriously lacking today amongst many physicians, particularly those who are specializing in the boutique area of phalloplasty...( I realize. Btw, that your practice/interests consist of far more than the further development of the "priapus shot"). Also your willingness to communicate in this type of forum, even for a specific period or limited period of time speaks volumes.
Many men here are anxious (in a good way) to learn more about this procedure. Of course you may encounter a comment or question which is articulated in a less than courteous manner. Please know that generally speaking, there is great interest in what you are doing and support (not an endorsement of course) but support for your efforts
I commend you for your daring to be different approach w/in a field that has become very black/white and "sterile"...in a boring, and narrow minded sort of way.
Best,
Idm

Vlarkson,
I am wondering how the progress is going. Can you give us an update? Any pictures? This is one of the options I am considering.
