Whitesnake: Cheer up. We are all rooting for you. As Skeptical one says, "you are not asking for an impossibility." Best to you! Do not despair!

Thanks, I know I'm not asking the impossible, but when surgeons refuse to help patients or won't even reccomend anyone else it's truely terrible and it's hard for us patients to keep believing month after month with no advice or understanding. I've had these complications and have been trying to get help for 6 MONTHS NOW! IMAGINE LOSING YOUR JOB, GIRLFRIEND, AND EVERYTHING AND THEN JUST WAKING UP EVERYDAY TO THE SAME NIGHTMARE, ONLY TO HAVE SURGEONS TELL YOU TO GO BACK TO YOUR DOCTOR AND THAT THEY CAN'T HELP YOU OR GIVE YOU ANY ADVICE. THEY WON'T EVEN TELL YOU IF IT IS EVEN POSSIBLE TO FIX.

I've had 2 PE surgeries, 2 reconstructions and suffered from thick keloid scarring (which sounds like an issue you might have). I've done my fair share of research, but you seem so reluctant to share any details, it's really hard to know the best advice to give you. We all really want to help, especially those of us who have had botched surgeries and know the months and years of absolute devestation that follow. But more info is needed. Have you suffered nerve damage? You say you are having cortisone shots, but where? Has the belloderm become encapsulated?

I tried to keep fighting and looking for answers, but I just don't have the energy anymore. I kept the fight up for 6 months and was turned down by 3 different surgeons, so at least I tried.

Quitting after 6 months is not fair to yourself. With respect to the length of the average lifespan, 6 months is pennies and change. Consider the fact that doctors out there treat much serious complications, yours is resolvable. Three surgeons? THREE!? surgeons? I'd only be depressed after 10 or 15 turned me down, but not three!
You need to find that energy, you got a lot ahead of you to quit now.

I don't know how old are you, anyway i can understand how do you feel. As others member told you 3 surgeons are nothing, and 6 months is too less. My drama started more than 10 years ago, it's only an aesthetic problem but is something that someday really destroy me. I'm still searching for a doctor, and i will continue searching until i will fix my problem, i will not give up, so do a favour to yourself keep fighting.

whitesnakeguy:
If you actually want help you need to tell the people on here exactly what your issues are. What doctors you used and which ones you have asked to help. What problems you have. im usre alot of ppl on thius forum have had similar issues. your lack of information makes it impossible for anyone to help you out...best of luck

Hi Whitesnake I’ve a seasoned veteran with over 15 years of surgical experience behind me. …I’ve had tremendous highs and tremendous lows in my journey. You are experiencing a “tremendous low” right now. As one of the other members suggested on this thread, be tenacious; continue looking for the right surgeon to help you. He’s out there somewhere and eventually you will be on the road to recovery. There are a lot of guys on this site (both posting or just lurking) in the same boat as yourself. You’re among friends who understand here.

Hey checking in, hope you are keeping your head up and keeping the search on!
And for anyone who know of doctors/surgeons who have done some form of reconstruction work, please post their names (and contact info) in the Reconstruction Sub-forum found at the SURGICAL RESOURCES ONLY forum.
