Having lost my job and girlfriend and finding no help from surgeons who do reconstruction, I am sick to my stomach and I seem to be losing hope with each day. I don't understand why my situation is so difficult. I guess I am going to just have to do search engine after search engine until I find a surgeon who is capable of removing tissue burrying the penis. I thought it wouldn't be that hard of a procedure, but I guess because the tissue burrying the penis is scar tissue from surgery, it makes it a whole different more difficult surgery.

My biggest problem is finding a surgeon who can do an extremely well reconstruction surgery. I found one, but he told me he couldn't help me at this time.... So I guess I gotta keep looking even though I'm not eating, my girlfriend left me, and I had to quit my job because of agony and disappointment.
If I were that surgeon, I would think of this in crisis mode and help the patient, but that's just me. Anyway, yeah I will keep looking.

Have you attempted contacted most, if not all of the PE doctors found on these forums (specifically listed in the Surgical Methods forum) ? I'm certain some of these doctors, like Elist and Rosenthal do some revisions or reconstruction. Especially Elist since he's technically a Urologist (though I'm not necessarily endorsing him). Check out all the PE doctors because many of them have seen and repaired botched surgeries before. I'm sorry to hear its becoming difficult but I'm certain you will find a doctor who will fix things up

Check out Dr. Alter of Beverly Hills too, he's got a good reputation.
Whitesnakeguy, like you I hope this site continues going strong! You will either find the name of the doctor you are looking for here, or post the name of the doctor who eventually sees you...thats the beauty of this site...access to vast info on a taboo subject matter.

Yeah, I contacted Dr. Alter when this first happened and he told me to check back with him in 6 months, and then recently I got a hold of him and he said check back in another 6 months. He was very pessimistic and basically said their might not be anything that anyone can do for you.....
I will continue to look for help. In the meantime I am having trouble just getting out of bed and feeding myself since everything seems so helpless since I got that email from Dr. Alter. I've obviously developed some kind of depression. I do know that when I find someone to surgically correct these problems, I will be done with PE for the rest of my life, the psychological damage is not worth the risk.

Can't you tell us a bit more about what has actually happened to you? It's very difficult to give advice when we don't even know what procedures you've had done. Miro would definitely say he can help you, but he'd probably say that even is he hasn't understood what the problems are. I know he does alot more complicated surgeries that the likes of Dr Alter though.

Some years ago there was a guy on one of the body-mod forums who'd suffered extensive scarring from injecting something into his penis (vaseline, I think) and he'd also consulted a PE surgeon to ask about repairs. I don't remember who he'd consulted, but the surgeon was reluctant to accept his case but didn't flatly refuse him. He'd been hanging in limbo for a long time.
Someone who'd has experience with silicone-injections authoritatively advised not to start with PE surgeons: if it's a functional issue start with a urologist, get an examination, and ask for a referral to a surgeon experienced in "reconstructive urology."
He offered solid logic for his recommendation: there are thousands patients requiring reconstructive urology for defects and injuries of all sorts. Reconstructive urologists devote 100% of their practice on repairing often-debilitating damage. Even if a PE surgeon has performed some repairs and is knowledgeable about urology, he won't have the depth of experience as a reconstructive urologist who's actually repaired a urethra torn in a motorcycle accident or burn scars sustained from a fryer.
Importantly, don't despair if you have to go through three doctors: the first guy will understand the damage but might not know specifically which surgeon has the right experience to repair it; he can refer you to someone with experience in special cases. If the second doctor doesn't have experience with your specific issues he'll have contacts with colleagues who do, and he might refer you to one of them to get the actual work done.
Any time your doctor is unsure how to proceed, respectfully ask him to suggest someone else who might. Lots of doctors don't do this automatically. When asking for a referral make sure to emphasize that you're not distrusting your doctor's expertise, you're really taking advantage of his profession connections.

whitesnakeguyI simply cannot accept or believe that this will be your fate. Too many advances have been made in medicine and more will come in the future. Corrective surgery is done all of the time all over the world. Think about burn victims, car accident victims, construction-site injuries, etc. It might require you to sign practically your life away, but I'm certain in time you will find a practitioner who will do his/her best to solve your problems. Do not end the search. You aren't asking for an impossibility, remember that.
