Dr. Reed has really a valid point!!

This is my first thread in any PE forum and I myself have been researching this matter for more than two years in order to reach a decision whether to go for PE with Belladerm or Elist implant. I came across Dr. Reed's website and I am surprised how almost no one mentioned anything about him. It seems that its all about Rosenthal and Elist.

Anyway, I have contacted them all but I have found that Dr. Reed raised a very valid point which may explain why alot of people having length loss post op. He believes that the lengthening and girth enhancement should be done apart cause the penis just cannot take it all at once. He thinks that ideally they should be done 6 months apart during which stretching should be done post lenghthening in order to prepare the penis for girth enhancement at which you might have gained some length and have a taller sheet implanted so that even if you lose some length afterwards then at least, not from your original numbers. I personally believe that this prepares your penis to better accomodate the enhancement since it would be less traumatized. This sounds logic, doesn't it?

The drawback I guess is that you would need two surgeries, which means double the risk and perhaps two scars plus maybe extra bucks but if it will help avoid losing any length or even gain some then I would consider the option seriously

Another point I would like to raise is the scar with Elist implant ... I 've noticed from members pics that the scar is somehow big around 2 inches and sighty, which is a real concern for me. I hope some of you guys who had the implant would give us some feedback in this regard.

Honestly, I am tired of researching and waiting and really want to go for a PE surgery but just cannot makeup my mind yet whether to go for the Elist implant which really showed impressive results or Belladerm which is more natural and conservative I guess.

The best part about the Implant that if anything goes wrong at least you can remove it or even modify as I have understood which is not the case with belladerm which melts into your body.

I also browsed thru Belladerm website and read about their sheets and found out that their maximum thickness offered is around 2mm (Ultra thick sheet). This means that if you have two sheets on top then that would add up to 4mm, when rolled around the penis then thats a sum of 8mm in girth. So where does the claimed one inch girth come from ,,

Also, in case someone went for belladerm, would he be able in the future for any reason have the Elist implant installed on top or vice versa, this is an interesting issue I would love to hear from you about.

I strongly agree that lengthening procedure should be done first. I had length and girth b/c I really needed it but the stretching puts and unecessary stress on the graft and I believe (@ least w/fft) this could theoretically impact retention of the INITIAL girth procedure.

In my case I wasn't working w/too much to start off w/so I'm not exactly sure whether it was so detrimental in my case... But for average guys or better who are just looking for gains, I think Reed makes a point worth listening to in this case and Thanks to the writer who made a brought this to light.

I think we'd see better results staging this way- lig release/stretch first 6 mos. Minimum.

I'd like to make a suggestion to the guys going in for surgery- I strongly suggest you request lighter anesthesia, twighlight/iv sedation as opposed to general when possible.
GOing under general is often, one of the most potentially dangerous aspects to surgery. nowadays they've made big strides w/anesthesia and general really isn't necessary for pe surgery-point is avoid it when you can. Its one less thing to go wrong and makes follow up procedures that are staged less of a big deal.

My first surgery they gave me General and it was the worst part of the experience-my recent surgery (the pt 2) I demanded twilight-it was 1/2 the drug as the 1rst time and recovery was MUCH better.

Finally, someone asked about doing belloderm AND implant- I think the guys who have the implant here might want to comment on that but my understanding is that the implant is more than substantial, the perk of getting it is that you don't have to do anything else in terms of further augmention-the implants sufficient.
You wouldn't be able to have allo/belloderm around an implant it wouldn't vascularize and MAJOR problems would develop (even if you found a moron who would do it.
..Which I doubt). As for putting an implant around a dermal matrix graft?? I think it might be possible b/c these grafts develop ingrowth however, that's definitely a question for the doctor (would like to know their answer).

To my knowledge men who've had fft and/or allo/belloderm could further augment w/pmma if they want a bit more girth- I predict we're going to see more of these combos in the future (not done at the same time) but as a result of men having more than one pe surgery to get where they would like to be. This incremental approach may be the wisest for those looking for potential alternatives to the silicone prosthesis.

As everyone knows I had fft, and I'm pleased; but in order to achieve my personal goal I may need 1 more round-also considering a modest amount of pmma
