I agree. There are risks using alloderm and belladerm for phalloplasty. There are risks for all procedures, right? Depends on the surgeon, no? I believe in the science behind the body owns cell innervation into the allo or bella. Provided the surgeon doesn't stack sheets of either bella or allo. As hoddle mentions... how can the body innervate and vascularize implanted tissues so deep. Not to mention the bacteria potentially resting (and waiting to make their presence known) between thick sheets of allo and bella. Be wary of docs folding and stacking sheets of implanted girth materials!
While I am not a shill for Dr Reed, but I am comforted that be attempts to convince prospective patients to contain their expectations, to expect 3/4 - 1" inch from the procedure. I do know that he has followed patients with alloderm for 8+ years (according to his blog). And is waiting for mature results before he posts glans enhancement photos on his site. He has also turned down potential clients with phallus es large enough not to warrant enhancement. These behaviors by Reed increases my confidence in him.
He seems to have a conservative approach to penile enhancement, which, of course, costs more mullah over time. I know I am not the only member to be re-assured by this approach.
I am considering Dr Reed, Dr Alter, Dr K, and Dr Solomon for my reconstruction and subsequent girth procedure. Despite, my aforementioned praise/agreement with the conservative approach, it is tempting to find a surgeon who will provide a "one surgery fixes all." But, again, having had a (really bad) botched procedure, the step-wise (some called staged in other contexts, specifically for fft, though it applies to other phalloplasty procedures), is ideal. More expensive, more time consuming. But, if I want this to work... smart approach is best?! I've been waiting to fine that money tree.
Sorry if my opinions don't fit the current topic heading.
Oh..following the Runels unfolding story with interest. If Runels procedure adds.5" and a stronger penis... worth 1900? Uncertain about PMMA. Surgery outside the U.S. too. Hey - it may work fantastic! Who am I to say?
Since I'm espousing, still weary of fft. Sincerely hope the hope the new batch of guys with recent fft are doing great! I find Guinta's "stem cell" advancement a little suspect. I recall sending him an email asking he was going to incorporate stem cell technology in his fft? Months later...on this site... "NEW STEM PROCEDURE"now used...Coincidence? Maybe probably. Made me suspicious. Hey..guinta's technique may be working fantastic for guys now!

Hi guys,i am planning a widening surgerie in january i am very decided to have it done i have read about all the procedure available out there the risk and all.honestly i am very confused but i contacted dr mark salomon and is procedure is a graft that is thicker but since i dont wana be cut near gland the incision is gona be just on top of penis shaft or bottom pelvise but you know what i mean of course, anyhow he is using a animal tissue graft i think its bovine he told me witch is about .75 mm thick and he would side graft my sides of penis only giving me the widness i need he told me i should get 30% more girth if i do the math .75 plus .75 equals 1.5 witch is not to to bad i guess at a price of 11500$ and told me after a year i could go for another one so meaning i figure 60% girth in all for maybe 23000$ after?? i am confused!.. so i need your opinion on this one he is a well known good reputation doctor so i guess i need to trust someone.on the other hand i have been reading on fft with dr giunta its cheaper and prob safer but is it worth it will i keep the girth and i guess i would have to go at lease a second time for the goal i wana reach i am 7.5 in lenght and 5.5 girth so yea..i need at lease close to 50% girth in my book to be 7.5 even 8 in girth.and also is it better then bovine graft.i am looking to do eather or but i really need someone experience to help me take that decision.thank you.
