I always suspected the first 72 hours would be the roughest, thankfully you made it out successfully! Is it still fully wrapped up?

Well if this is the case Hoddle, Chad is a sad sad man. And he's drawing MNS into self-destruction mode with all his censoring/deleting... quite bizarre if you ask me.

At 8 1/2 months with no complications does appear to be an uncommon feat using this method. Congratulations, I'd say if you make it complication-free past 6 months, I'd imagine you had a truly "successful" procedure (barring any long-term complications).
I hope you are right about Elist improving the complication rates! I'm currently leaning toward PMMA or FFT, but the Elist implant has continued to intrigue me because of the "one-time permanent ultra-girth gain" that you can achieve.
What is the final girth measurement on that erect (mid-shaft) if you don't mind sharing?

Here are some of Marknmau's implant shown in photos he sent me for resizing.
Hope the resizing worked. Sometimes there is a loss in quality because of the resizing but I imagine these photos should give us a pretty good idea...
Thanks for the contribution Mark!

UncleJJ! Happy to finally have you on board! Many of us here are incredibly interested in the new implant material, I hope you get the opportunity to share with us what you know regarding the details.
And if you don't mind telling us, did you get the implant stitched behind the glans or no?
And lastly, did you get fed up with MNS like everyone else here did? The site hardly works or loads correctly anymore!

I think Mustang's assessment of the doc's "laid back" nature may have something to do with the delay in receiving the information lol.
He did assure me it was of importance and that he would get it to me, so we'll just have to hope & see

I'm not sure if this "Chad" guy is the same guy involved at MNS, but they don't even bother punishing you - they flat out ignore your postings the moment it mentions this site - and so the posts never make it to the MNS forum

I've been reassured by several Doctors that use Medical grade PMMA the risk of migration is zero. Did they ever explain why/how?

Awesome news! Zero complications this far out is definitely an accomplishment post-op! Please give us an update when the scaffolds are completely degraded with the official "final stats," if you don't mind And so I understand correctly - are these scaffolds giving you "additional" internal penis? Or some filler of collagen-type tissue?

idm - welcome! This forum (General Phalloplasty Discussion) is where the bulk of the conversation goes on. Feel free to post most everything here, and if a certain thread needs to be moved to a more fitting board I'll take care of that.
Would LOVE to know what you think about PMMA... it seems to me that it could be the "permanent" alternative to FFT, no? There is a thread regarding PMMA & Dr. Casavantes if you wish to chime in (or alternatively you can start your own thread).

I don't have a question for him but I do have a request of you - Be sure to ask to both see and feel the new implant. If you feel comfortable enough, even ask him if you're permitted to take a photo of it (assuming you have a cellphone with decent resolution camera) for "personal records." I can't imagine that being an issue if he has a patent on it. Actually I do have a question - WHAT is the PHYSIOLOGICAL MECHANISM behind POST-OP RETRACTION I think we all have ideas but I'd like to hear the doctor say it himself.

This "Retraction Post-Op" issue really needs to be addressed by the Phalloplasty Medical community as a whole. I wonder how much communication goes on between these (essentially competing) surgeons?
I wouldn't be surprised if there was more Research&Development on these boards than what the doctor's actually invest.
Length loss is one of the major holdups I have with actually going under the knife at the moment. I wonder if the "spacer" technique that gets floated around once in a while has some practical use in preventing scar tissue from pulling back the penis... ??
