Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
Dr Casavantes replied the gain is determined by the Patient. I dug a little deeper this weekend and found several websites and articles on PMMA Penis Enlargement. Mostly in South America (Brazil) and Mexico. The average gains according to the sites were 30 to 50%. But they all stated that gain amounts were up to the Patient. I found 3 distinctive features with the PMMA that other PE surgeries don't offer.
1. Permanent Filler (No Cutting or Scarring)
2. Patient Interaction (Local Anesthesia is used so Patient is able to watch and decide on the amount injected)
3. There is a temporary filler that can actually be injected before the PMMA (a simulator) so the patient can predetermine the amount that will be used and can also see what the outcome will look like before the permanent PMMA is injected!!! I thought this was pretty Awesome!
Dr Casavantes did say the PMMA injection does not allow retraction of the penis in the flaccid state. This makes the flaccid penis look longer.
This procedure seems a lot like FFT only no chance of absorption and you get the girth you want in 2 sessions with a little extra flaccid length.

envisionmore, this sounds remarkable, and on paper it seems like a more ideal alternative than fat because of its permanency - except how do we know how safe PMMA is in the long term when used in the penis?

Thanks for the picture! I appreciate you taking the time to find this. That's even heftier than what I was picturing! Do you know what Doctor he used? I'm awaiting an email about long term effects. I was told New Plastic has zero side effects short and long term. However, I want to make sure. I have also emailed Dr Almir Nacul (inventor of Bioplasty/New Plastic) to ask the same question. On Dr Nacul's website www.clinicanacul.com.br he states PMMA used in Bioplasty was synthesized in Germany in 1902. PMMA has been used in the form of microspheres, as an implant, for more than 20 years. During this period more than a Million people have undergone PMMA implants without record of substance migration to other organs, rejection, allergies or absorption. There are no risks involved when the material has a good source, and ANVISA registration. Its definitely worthwhile checking his website out. I will let you guys know as soon as I get an answer from either Doctor.
Wow this sounds and looks very interesting, similar to the results I have from the Elist implant, but with much less risk! If this is as safe as they say, I hope someone here goes ahead with it so we can hear directly from a true patient. I might even think about having my implant removed and opt for this instead. That would have to be after a few trust worthy gentlemen approved of it of course, but IF it happens to be all that...... you never know. I just hope it's not one of those..... If it sounds too good to be true.............. well you know One thing I can say is that girth gains sure make sex a blast! and I wish all guys could feel the difference, but personally, if a freind asked me if I would recommend the Elist implant I wouldn't be able to say yes with a clear conscience...... because of the chances of complications involved, but this....... I sure hope it's what us guys are looking for.

Thanks for the additional links gsxr and envision!
I'm curious to know why American phalloplasty surgeons haven't gone the PMMA route? It seems more prevalent abroad if you are looking to get it injected into your penis (correct me if I'm mistaken).
I'll have to do some personal research on PMMA because its not quite so simple. Silicone implants have been used all over the body with much success -- but using it in the penis has caused problems...PMMA is simply another synthetic filler, so I tread with caution.
I'm not sure about Internet Explorer, but Google Chrome gives you the option to translate pages automatically (to the best of its ability) when coming across foreign sites.
Hope this stuff is legit because unlike other fillers, it doesn't seem to face the risk of absorption. I'm very curious to know how it feels.
PMMA is often used in various implants because of its compatibility with human tissue. Because of its transparency and bio-compatibility, PMMA is important in ophthalmology for replacing the intraocular lens of cataract patient. PMMA is used as bone cement in orthopedic surgery. The modulus of elasticity is similar to natural bone giving it a more natural feeling for the patient than metallic alternatives. The benefits of utilizing PMMA within the body are countered with the exotherm that occurs while curing the acrylic. This generation of heat has the potential to damage surrounding tissue.
"Countered with the exotherm that occurs while curing the acrylic..." Can anyone with a science background explain what the heck that means? I am trying to find any "CONS" involved with PMMA being put in our bodies but I'm not sure if this tidbit is of any relevance when it comes to PMMA injections into the penis - but it doesn't hurt to check it out.
Also check out these, though not directly related to penis injections, they involve the use of PMMA:

The last link I posted had two different doctors expressing considerable doubt about the safety of PMMA...hopefully we'll hear from the Doc's office regarding their reasons to believe its safe injecting it.

I received an email this morning from Clinica Leger in Brazil. Basically just saying the same thing that it is safe with no side effects, it doesn't effect erection, ejaculation or sensitivity. It can be accomplished in a single session or more than one depending on the amount needed. They inject 10 ml per session. Takes place in about an hour, under local anesthesia and the patient is awake and cooperating during all process. Masturbation and sex is avoided for 15 days to allow healing. The cost is $ 1,600usd for an implant of 10 ml and $ 1,000 for a second session, if necessary.
If I'm not mistaken Dr Casavantes injects 15cc at a single session and cost $1,500usd and half price for the second session.
There are a couple of Doctors on MakeMeHeal that have a few bad things to say about PMMA. But, my view is they are US Surgeons not using the product and probably never have and never will unless approved by FDA. I'm always skeptical of US Doctors because it seems if they don't or can't use the material or perform the procedure they have negative things to say. US Surgeons (not all) are out for what they can gain I have found. If they can't gain something or they feel potential clients going south or abroad for surgery they will shine everything in a negative light.
The same thing happened with the Lap Band weight loss system. Every other country was performing the surgery except the US and the Doctors here were bad mouthing it. Now that it was approved by the FDA a few years back it's all the craze. When I was looking to have this procedure done I was told the Swedish Band (another band company) was inferior to the American made band and it had a higher complication rate. Now that the Swedish Band has been approved by the FDA thats the popular band, "NEW" band, only it's been around for many years.
I went to Puerto Vallarta Mexico to have the Lap Band surgery and don't regret a minute. The hospital was extremely clean. The nurses were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The pain medicine was extremely awesome LOL. It was nothing like I expected or had been told by Doctors here when they found out I was going to Mexico for surgery. I know someone who had the same procedure done here in the states and she has had several complications and has not lost nearly as much weight.
Sorry for going off on a tangent but my point is until PMMA New Plastic is approved here in the US for penis enlargement and buttock enlargement it will not be accepted by US Surgeons. But when it finally becomes FDA approved watch out! You will see a hefty price tag and Plastic Surgeons all over it as if it were the "NEW" thing!
It is nice to have another opinion about a procedure though I don't trust the opinion of US Doctors when it comes to medical procedures they do not perform. I have been trying to find websites of Surgeons or Doctors that are actually using or have used the product. Also patients who have used the PMMA. There are quite a few Patient forums for PMMA Butt Augmentation. I haven't been able to find any for penis augmentation. But the patients that have had the PMMA Butt Augmentations seem to love it.
I wonder if PMMA would work with those of us who already have the Dr. Elist implant? If it's injected under the skin, just maybe it would create a softer barrier around the implant than the thin capsule that forms, which could make the penis feel more natural.

I hope your assessment on the value of opinions from American doctors has some legitimacy envision, and I hope you are right hah. For $1500 and being just over the border, it makes for the most realistic augmentation situation for me yet. I'll be staying tuned in.

Envision, do you know if Dr. Casavantes would be willing to do more than 15cc on the first trip (even it might mean costing more)? Or does he set the limit at 15cc for some important reason?
I ask because I'm not at liberty to travel to the west coast as often as I'd like, so top-offs would be minimal...meaning I'd like to get as much girth gain on the initial appointment as (safely) possible.

Hey Skeptical One I believe it's a safety issue but I will check on that. I was expecting an email with answers for you guys but it hasn't come in yet. I showed my Wife the pictures today on the blog that was sent in yesterday. Her mouth dropped and said OMG are you serious thats the fattest I've ever seen. When you told me PE I didn't realize how big it would be. She looked again and said OMG! (LOL) She apparently is all for it! Which surprised me!

Thanks for checking... and you can call me SO or S.O. for short if you'd like.
Two other questions if you don't mind (and if you haven't already inquired):
Is there a reason why PMMA was used as a filler over silicone gel?
and a question for you envision: according to one of your posts you said you learned that PMMA has no reported cases of migration, would you be able to cite this for me from a source other than the doctor who performs the procedure? I only ask because silicone gel had reported incidents of migration and the two (silicone and pmma) share some similarities.
justpitchingin: Anyways.. I have had the Elist procedure.. only 14 weeks post-op.. So far so good.. But be warned the girth is actually something that may not be appreciated as it may be a bit much for folks that are not into girth..

champ101: Dr Colin Moore is a butcher, NEVER allow him anywhere near your penis. His work is VERY bad and his fees are far in excess of others who complete these surgeries much better. He could not care less about his patients, his work is VERY bad.
