Dear PhalloBoard's moderators, members, and guests,
Just when I thought this situation had rested it has come back yet again putting this forum in a sticky bind.
After having posted my letter to Proboards on the main page, and their subsequent silence on the matter, I figured that we were in the clear. This belief was also reinforced by the extremely long absence of any Proboards follow-up, email, forum post, or private message.
I received a PM today stating the same issue, something which I believe Proboards needs to fully analyze. They claim there is adult material on this forum, and linked the large Casavantes thread as an example.
I have written an email to them explaining what I've explained before, making a strong argument in defense of this site. There is nothing sexually erotic or lewd and I've gone through extraordinary lengths to keep this place clean.
The fact that this has resurfaced again randomly makes me wonder if any outside party (doctor, shill, lawyer, etc) has chosen to instigate, but I certainly hope this isn't the case. Maybe Proboards was reviewing older issues and decided to revisit us, especially since traffic has picked up considerably since the last warning.
Anyways, the reason I bothered posting this was to remind everyone to save ALL photos/backups in the event that we have to migrate. I have the entire E-mail list of this forum, in the event that we get shut down, I will send a discrete email explaining the move and wont actually indicate the name of the new site until that person writes back verifying their membership here. If you wish not to receive any email at all, please say so in this thread or Private Message me, but rest assured the emails I'd send out would be too vague for anyone else to decipher.
I know that last time they said they weren't planning to shut down the site, but they wanted photos removed. I'm not sure what their stand is this time, but hopefully we can weather the storm like we did before. Long live PhalloBoards!
(feel free to comment, especially posts that make a positive case for this site to Proboards would be appreciated, they may end up reading this stuff)
-S.O.

Or what I'm basically saying in a nutshell is that I have 48 hours to negotiate the status, content, and accessibility of this site... and I hope I succeed like I did the first time around.
Why this has come up again is beyond me, and I hope ProBoards and PhalloBoards can come to an agreement ---> we uphold strict guidelines on all things obscene & lewd and enforce all matters that are in violation of Proboards guidelines and terms of service.
thanks again for everyone's support.

It's really more then a bunch of guy trying to brag on what they got. It's like we all are family member who is trying to help each other. It's Whites Blacks Asain Latinos etc and we all function like a family. I get in everyday and when i read everybody status it makes me feel good. This is more then a site this is a bunch of friends helping friends

I agree bigbizo8, this site has been so helpful to so many of us, I just hope Proboards gets a chance to really see that.
When they look at our site they probably get shocked by the penis photos but if they spent the time to read the material and see why we post these things, I think they will appreciate this website for being a very mature place.
All this stuff is medical, cosmetic, and scientific in context, hopefully Proboards will agree

I have to believe that the people who are watching ProBoards content have the education and the common sense to see that this board is for education and information only.
We all know, but I hope they can see that the info on this site may have saved many people's lives and gave them the tools to make smart decisions.
This site also has provided support for people who had surgeries but have had less than ideal results.
All the pix on this site are of low resolution and they depict nothing more than informational images for all of us to share and to educate ourselves about penile surgery and its effects on its patients, it is by far not even close to anything errotic or sexual.
Who can find it sexual in content when they see a penis with bandages on it? Please see it for what it is not for what some people who have hidden agenda see in it!

This might not have anything to do with the opinions of Proboard or their management. This forum falls within the proboards.com domain, so they may be concerned with how their domain is classified by site-ranking organizations (like Net Nanny).
For example the contents of this forum could cause their domain, as a whole, to be given the attribute "includes nude images" or something like that. Proboards wouldn't have any control or opportunity to argue such classification.
Try to determine whether Proboards is the source of the objection or whether it's an issue that's been imposed upon them.

Maybe I am to blame, well partly at least. Some of my posts [and perhaps others] may have angered the powers that be in the PE community. When people post information and pose questions that challenge the status quo, this results in the loss of patients coming to see a particular PE doctor or doctors, and these PE doctors are going to retaliate. First they sent their shills here, that didn't work, they were called out, now they are working behind the scenes to shut this forum down. Why? For spreading new ideas, honest information and experiences. This forum was born due to the censoring and deletion of posts at that other site, which will remain nameless. Did anyone stop to think all of the hits that used to go to that other site are now coming here? With the reduction in the amount of activity at that other site that means a huge loss of income. Perhaps there was a quid pro quo arrangement of using that other site in exchange for 'expert' testimony. Now both the loss of income of status quo PE surgeons and the potential loss of 'expert' testimony caused these people to panic, and with a desperate attempt at classifying this as an 'adult' forum, they hope to succeed in shutting this forum down. They know that this forum MUST be shut down - it is upsetting the status quo in the PE community. As I recall at that old site there used to be a section of 'adult only' content that had absolutely nothing to do with PE.

Thanks for this alternative theory (i.e. Net Nanny)...I hope that Proboards wishes to disclose to me the reasoning behind their warning and potential suspension. My goal will be to find out as much as I can. My ultimate goal, however, will be to ensure this site remains accessible.

They know that this forum MUST be shut down - it is upsetting the status quo in the PE community. As I recall at that old site there used to be a section of 'adult only' content that had absolutely nothing to do with PE. Just to be clear, I was only speculating when I referred to a 3rd party being involved. It is possible, however, since Proboards dropped the case months ago...having to bring it back up when nothing new has changed here (except the web traffic) makes you wonder. But I digress. I think no one is to blame. If any blame were to go around, I would blame a misunderstanding of this site's content. I mean I can only imagine what it must have FIRST been like when the guys over at the Proboards office pulled up our site on their computer screens. Without actually reading the material or analyzing the site's purpose, it would be easy to come to premature conclusions about this site's intentions. But in my email to Proboards, I've politely asked them to really check out the forum, providing certain links so that they don't have to review hundreds of pages of posts. We hope Proboards gives us the benefit of the doubt, and like I said before, hopefully we'll weather the storm.
