wisher,
Did the swelling increase in size? Did you have any previous graft ( alloderm or others) surgery ? Is the skin warm or red ? Do you have any pulsating pain ?
If your answer to these Q. is NO -----> Dont worry ( just no body exercise , no masturbation and no sex )
Good healing wisher

You might have to start wearing a bandage to apply pressure to the area. Any particular bandage you would recommend? Do you think Coflex® would be beneficial after post-PMMA to distribute the PMMA evenly? Thanks.

Do you think Coflex® would be beneficial after post-PMMA to distribute the PMMA evenly? Thanks. I'd just use a Coban wrap for the swelling. I'd ask Dr about using something to distribute the PMMA. I wouldn't want to suggest anything in case I gave bad advice.

SO. - i'll most some pics in a few minutes. ur right, hopefully other patients can tell me from their experience.
hoodle - i actually did go get a bandage wrap yesterday with some aricare cream instead of pills. i applied the cream twice and wore a wrap for a few hours. it was interesting cuz it gave me a flaccid of 5in length and 5in girth (i had to measure cuz it was a very familiar feeling, and 5in was my pre op erect girth). but it didn't hang like this without a bandage.
smartman - the answer to all the questions is no. so it makes me feel better thx.
so i just called the dr.'s office. wade was unavailable so i'm waiting for a call back. i won't wear the bandage again until i speak with the nurse. maybe i'm just being impatient but i know u all understand how paranoid we become when it comes to our own dick.

well that was fast. wade just called and he adviced me to take ibuprofin. after he sees the pics and dr. c gets a look at them he'll give me more info. he was pretty sure that it wasn't an infection since they've never had a case of infection. he saide swelling in generally gone in 7-10 days and that collagen should already be forming. i figure maybe that i could get like this. swelling going down and collagen comming up. with would explain why it doesn't "seem" to get much smaller. then again, since i'm always looking at it i wouldn't be able to see any changes.

Definitely fluid build up of some sort. It looks just like the seroma I had after my scaffold surgery. If I'm honest I don't see this clearing up in a matter of days. It could take a long time. But at least it's nothing to worry about, just a really annoying inconvenience. As long as there are no signs of infection, you'll be fine. Maybe start wearing compression at the 3 weeks post op stage. But don't even think about having it aspirated for a long time yet.

Wisher if I were to guess your theory is probably what's going on (swelling slowly subsiding while collagen formation coming on). I suppose a seroma is possible but unlikely since you really didn't have any "empty space" for it to be warranted (then again this is purely speculation and you'll ultimately need Dr. C's verdict on the matter).
I found a good description of a seroma @ liposuction.com - and while I know this procedure you underwent isn't lipo, it does mention the use of cannula (which may or may not have anything to do with your situation):
A seroma is a collection of serum (also known as lymph fluid) within a cavity inside the body. Serum is the yellowish liquid portion of blood that remains after the red blood cells (which transport oxygen to the body's tissues), and white blood cells (which fight infections) have been removed. A seroma can occur after liposuction. It is generally a nuisance, but not a serious complication. Without treatment, a seroma will usually resolve slowly over several weeks to many months. To accelerate the disappearance of a seroma, the surgeon may remove the serum by inserting a needle and draining the seroma into a syringe. Seromas may be caused by the use of large diameter liposuction cannulas, or excessively aggressive liposuction in a localized area of fat. Seromas are a common adverse result of ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL). Seromas rarely occur when surgeons use the tumescent liposuction with microcannulas and use the "open-drainage" technique for post-liposuction care.
The good news is that if it were a seroma (which I personally doubt), it wouldn't appear to be dangerous. It's also positive that you aren't experiencing any additional swelling, redness & warmth of the skin, or pulsating pains that smartman had referred to. I also noticed you are 2 weeks in, and chances are you'll start to see the final product in another 4 weeks or so. Keep us tuned in and hopefully Dr. C can give you a healthy prognosis :-)

Hoddle - how long did urs last? It's not what you are going to want to hear, but 3 months! For about 2 months it didn't really change. It looked pretty much exactly like what you have. But don't be tempted to aspirate as there is a small risk of infection.

Wisher,
I saw the pic. it looks ok, sure that is neither an infection nor seroma, I had the same experience in my 1st injection , dont worry it will subside.
No sex , no masturbation and as hoddle said never aspirate.

Thanks to all for the feedback! Not much new to report. Still have some fluid. Wade forwarded my pics to Dr. C but I haven't gotten a response. I had asked wade about a support bandage and he said it won't affect shape since PMMA is already attached.
I wore it yesterday but was wondering what you guys think about me using an extender with light tension. My thought is that this will disperse the fluid I still have and maybe making it easier to dissipate? I know time is my main friend right now but if I can speed it up it'd be nice. Any thoughts?

You might aswell give it a go. It's not going to do any damage and probably would add a little pressure, which is a good thing. Wear the extender and the bandage, but make sure you point the extender upwards, not down.
Why kind of bandage are you wearing? Personally I'd by some Coban wrap.

This is the one I bought. It seems to work fine. I think I'll give it a try with my vacextender. I'm being as patient as I can but it'll b 3 weeks in a couple of days and that's a long time to have a swollen dick:)

i finally spoke with wade. he actually called me. which was a pleasant surprise since i was only expecting an email. he told me that dr C does not believe it to be an infection or a seroma, just swelling fluid. They are also surprised that it still looks the way it does. i was assured that it would go down in time but were unable to give me a time frame. just that from the looks of it i will need a second treatment to even it out from mid-shaft to base. i was already planning on doing this but wasn't sure of my final decision until it is all healed and finished. wade told me that stretching or bandaging or any messing with it is detremental. he pretty much said to leave it alone and let it do its thing and that i had nothing to worry about. no seroma, no infection. it just happens that my penis heals slower, that's all. also to keep him updated every few days. i am very pleased with the way care about their patients.
out of curiousity i measured again today and it was 6 3/8th's!!! that's about 1/4inch increase! i am surprised because i was expecting and hoping (for the first time in my life!) that my dick would get smaller. i guess collagen formation is faster than my decrease in swelling. fine by me. can't wait to see what the "final" size will be in 3 more weeks:)
