I would like to get some members' perspectives/thoughts on this. I am been looking into PE for some time now, and one piece of advice that I heard was to get the lengthening and girth done separately. There are quite a number of PE surgeons who will cut the suspensory ligament satisfactorily and of course some are more aggressive than others. What I was thinking of was going to either Giunta, Reed, or Rosenthal having my lig cut, then stretch consistently for 6 months to 1 year using thegrip or the Bib for heavy weight stretching and to use thegrip light weight or autoextender silicone sleeves for all-day stretching. It would be my desire to get an inch or possible 2 with this method. Then after a year of stretching go to Dr. C for 2 treatments (pr possibly 3) spaced a few months apart. What do you guys think of this?

Sounds like a good idea, though in my personal opinion I don't think lengthening surgery is worth the risk when traction exercise (which you plan to do after a procedure anyways) seems to report gains of 1" or more. I'm sure cutting the ligaments have worked for some, but others have reported retraction (presumably due to scar tissue) that they have to spend another 6 months just getting back to their original pre-op stats.
But if you choose to get lengthening done, I do like the idea of waiting at least 6 months with a dedicated stretching program. I'm pleased with what I've learned so far and seen so far with PMMA but time will tell if I become a real fan lol.

I should add that stretching programs aren't guaranteed to yield 1" or more, but it is a necessary component to post-op lengthening surgery... so it makes me think traction alone could be similarly effective.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing but I don't know anyone who's went to Guinta so I'm not sure. Of course his success stories are great and all but it'd be nice to hear from someone who actually WENT to him.

One thing that idm recommends, and I have alot of credence into what idm says/recommends, is that one should have the lengthening procedure first, then girth surgery. idm did gain in length, and perhaps could have gained more if he stretched more. PM idm - he is very nice and very knowledgeable. (idm - hope I didn't steal your thunder!)

yeah I am considering a bunch of options but I'm not really looking to gain a lot in length, maybe an inch or not even. I'm about average but some nice girth would be..nice. haha.

I have considered doing a similiar program in the past. Since researching the options further, I have become fairly skeptical about the lengthening procedures. It seems that quite a few guys have either seen very minimal gains or none at all. There are a FEW guys that have gained an inch or more, but the risk is too much for me. I don't want to lose what little I have!!!
My current strategy is to remain on the manual PE stretching program until Jan. 12. I am also currently applying DHT cream to see if that helps. (I have a thread where I'm posting results on that experiment) In January I will be seeing Dr. C for the first PMMA procedure.
Everyone has their own comfort level with risk, my advice would be to research everything fully and make an informed decision. It would be nice if there are any members that have had a lengthening procedure that could chime in on this.
