Given that so much of the narcotics available in the US come via Mexico, do they have body scanners at the boarder crossing? And if so, wouldn't the PMMA in the penis show up? I know that in the UK we now have body scanners that can show if a person is carrying drugs in their stomach and these scanners show foreign body implants etc, so surely the PMMA would come up. I'd hate to have to explain to a customs officer that I'd just had a penis enlargement.
i agree completely. when i go for my second round i'll be staying a couple of nights. i had a couple hours flight and i wish i had stayed at least a night. there's nothing better than just letting it hang and monitor it butt naked as opposed to an uncomfortable airplane seat.
Thanks guys, I am staying the night (next thurs the 26th). comingfromwi, I would just get the passport (that's what I have) You'd be surprised how handy it is to have. Mind you, I am Canadian... but since getting my passport a few years ago, I have used it a lot.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned specifically here, but I notice that flights directly to Tijuana are double (or more) the price than if you were to fly directly to San Diego (which is a 30 minute cab ride to Dr. Casavantes's office).
I'm not sure why it's significantly more (especially given their proximity) but I thought I'd point out that if you plan to fly in from anywhere, be sure to compare the Tijuana rates against the San Diego rates and go with the better one. San Diego is literally a 30 minute ride to the office and has hotels at comparable rates.
Thought I'd share that. I happened to notice it as I was looking up ticket prices for my 2nd appointment (which hasn't been set yet).
So while thinking and planning about getting pmma I was playing around with flights, times, etc. (do not have a timeline for going down) I would be interested to hear what some of you that have gone through this would think. Here would be my options. These would stay pretty constant no matter when I flew due to the nature of the set flight times.
Arrive in San Diego @ 10am (this is the earliest available arrival)
Departure has a couple of different options:
1. Return flight from San Diego leaving at 3:20pm which would get me back home that evening
2. Catching a later flight at 7:00 or 8:00pm with a layover to red eye flight that gets me home before lunch
Option 2 would be more expensive, believe it or not, but I do not know if I would actually have time to make it back to catch the 3:20pm flight. Plus it would not hender (what seems to be) the very important 2 hour post-op window...
Like I said, I am just playing around with options right now. I do not have a specific time frame for having this done.

I'd go for a later flight (or an early flight the following day). There are a few reasons for this.
1. There are always possibilities for the unexpected which can cut into your time budget. 2. Airports require you to arrive a good 1.5-2 hours before flight time. 3. Most importantly, DRIVING BACK into the states is unpredictable and can take as long as an hour+ (unlike the drive in).
It is conceivable that you would risk missing your flight. It is also conceivable that you will make your flight with some time to spare. But given the multiple uncertainties, I'd recommend an evening flight or a next-day flight.
You could always tell Dr. C's office about the expedited nature of your trip and they will likely accommodate what they can. Again, my biggest worry would be on your way back to the San Diego Airport and how much time budget you have in the event you get stuck in a border crossing traffic jam.
I was staying in California anyways, so anyone who has had to go in & out, please chime in
justpitchingin: Anyways.. I have had the Elist procedure.. only 14 weeks post-op.. So far so good.. But be warned the girth is actually something that may not be appreciated as it may be a bit much for folks that are not into girth..

champ101: Dr Colin Moore is a butcher, NEVER allow him anywhere near your penis. His work is VERY bad and his fees are far in excess of others who complete these surgeries much better. He could not care less about his patients, his work is VERY bad.
