Hello Members, I was thinking about putting together a "glossary" of PE and Phalloplasty terms that could be useful down the road, especially to visitors with little familiarity with PE. It would be a joint effort and I would post the final product at the Surgical Methods Forum (as well as a copy of it here).
An example is all the acronyms we use. Usually the acronym is written out somewhere, but it can be tedious for new members to find it to know what it means.
PRFM PLGA FFT NBPEL etc.
also brief definitions to
DFG Elist prosthesis etc
as well as PE vernacular that we may have used over the years like
turtling etc
feel free to add to this thread. I'm not in any hurry to put it together, once I feel that there is a sufficient amount of info I've gathered I'll republish it.
thanks!

Yes it would be helpful, for everyone really Again, a reminder, if you know of a any terms and want to post them with your definition feel free to. Remember concise and clear is all we need. I'll start with: "Turtling" - when the penis is flaccid and retracts (or shrinks) to its smallest possible state. Coined after the act of a turtle receding back into its shell. PE Vernacular.

I'm thinking the Glossary would simply translate an acronym or give a brief description for a term and additionally attach a link that has the best compilation of data on that term. For now I'm just going to write out some common acronyms since I see them being used often and can be confusing to those who are not familiar.
Some Phalloplasty Acronyms
DFG = Dermal Fat Grafts
FFT = Free Fat Transfer
PMMA = Polymethyl Methacrylate
PRFM = Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix
Allo = Alloderm
Bella = Belladerm
A/B = Alloderm or Belladerm
Some Penile Acronyms
BPEL = Bone-Pressed Erect Length
NBPEL = Non-bone pressed erect length
EG = Erect girth
feel free to add

I'm bumping this thread because I feel we could use more contributions to it. Newbies especially can find this useful. I'll take all the terms we can put on here and create a new thread where it's found all in one place. I'm surprised this forum doesn't already have something like this up. Please offer some ideas, thanks!

Some more PE Exercise Vernacular:
Traction Device: Equipment designed to stretch the penis to induce length gains.
ADS: all-day stretcher. a traction device that is situated on your penis for extended periods of time.
Pumps: Penis pumps that use vacuum pressure to temporarily increase the size of the penis. Cylinder in shape and typically made of acrylic.
Hanger: A traction device that hugs your penis and tugs it by the force of a weight (like a small barbell/dumbbell)
Jelq(ing): the act of thrusting blood from your shaft to your glands with a grip technique. Usually most effective when semi-erect and mildly lubricated.
Other PE Vernacular from recently talked about topics:
Ring: A part of the penile shaft that appears as a ring as a result of circumcision. It is typically different in texture/color than rest of the shaft skin. Usually close to the glans.
Retraction: Temporary or permanent(??) loss of length, or the act of shrinkage/turtling.
Keep 'em coming. If you find something submitted by myself or others as being incomplete or incorrect, please let us know! Thanks
