Hi I'm Ben and I'm planning on having the surgery done by Dr. Elist this March. I'm looking for any info on the surgery or Dr. Elist. I've watched video on his other surgeries but nothing on his latest prosthesis. I'll be having the lengthening and widening done and I'm looking to gain about 1-2" with and about 1" length. I've spoke with a few other guys that have had this done, referred to me by Dr. Elist's office, and 2 of them had this done twice! They both said that the 1st one was uncomfortable and kinda rigid so the upgraded to the newest model and paid about an additional $4,000 or so for the prosthesis. So I'm thinking this procedure is the best one, please help me finalize my decision. I'd really like to talk to someone on the phone, so PM me and I'll give you my cell number.
Thanks Ben

It should be said that you in general read more bad stories than good stories, and that very few a satisfied with the implant.
(My own opinion, Dr. Elist sounds like a complete douche bag!)

Hey Ben all I can say is do as much research as you can before making a decision. You do get people like viduka who have ther own opinion on certain drs. Alot of people like Dr E, alot dont as you will begin to work out for yourself. I have been following this site since it started a few months back. Before then most of the members on this site followed a site called mynewsize which is still running tho many posts were deleted. Some say to protect certain drs. I would recommend to go to www.mynewsize.com and have a look. There is alot of info on elist in there. Alot of stuff you probably wont like but you need to know to make up your own mind. I think most of the elist patients over there had the old implant procedure. Since then he has been working with a new silicone which is meant to be alot softer. Be sure to take your time with your research I myself was very keen to get implant last year but after all the posts that I read last year about implants I decided to wait and see what this year brings now I am leaning more toward pmma and fft. paso

Hi Ben!
I think I may have been the one who referred you here from M.N.S? If, not it was someone else asking the same...help re: The Elist Implant. Most of the information that is perceived as negative toward DrElist/the implant had been removed from the M.N.S site, ( I know most of my posts were removed); for that reason- I recommend men to this site.
Ultimately no one can tell you what to do but you are very wise to seek information on what will be a life altering experience, and there are plenty of guys here who've gone the Elist route here w/whom you can communicate freely.
I think Skeptical One has stated the facts as they pertain to this method accurately and w/out bias.
I belong to the camp that feels the implant is not safe, and based on all of the information I've seen this method seems to have a poor track record/success rate statistically...having personally spoken to the doctor, I didn't find him to be forthcoming with much of this sort of information and due to the fact that he continues to perform this surgery is one of the reasons that I take exception to his practice.
All the best to you in making your decision!

My experience with the implant was VERY negative, I endured months of pain and suffering and am left with a deformed retracted penis. In my experience, Dr Elist is a good salesman. I believe the truth is that this is still very experimental and there are many negative experiences out there.

March 21, 2011
I'm scheduled to have surgery tomorrow (Tuesday, March 22, 2011) with Dr. Elist for the PE procedure for length and width. My wife will be coming with me I wouldn't be able to do this on my own. She's been really supportive of me and what ever decision I came to. We flew in today at 7pm. We're staying at the Wilshire Crest Hotel, complements of Dr. Elist. My consultation with Dr. Elist is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10:30am followed by my surgery at noon. I'm nervous but feeling good, I'm such a chicken at doctor's offices so we'll see how this plays out it should be interesting! We're going to bed now, it's a little after midnight and I don't think I'll be able to sleep because my nerves just kicked in! Wow this is really going to happen, reality is kind of scary! I've never been through surgery before, wish me luck! By the way, the bed sucks. Good night!

Except that tomorrow isn't March 22nd?? Unless you are copying and pasting a message you have had prepared before elsewhere?
Well regardless, that means you've already undergone the procedure then and must be 1 month post-op.
Hope all went well and feel free to start a progress report at the Patient Support Group & Progress Report forum.
