Yardstick,
damned glad you made the switch. I fucking HATE MNS. I swear that they "newgirth" is just a phony proponent for Dr Elist, as well as Uncle JJ.
I can't even read half of your posts on MNS because of the constant errors so it's hard to remember what knowledge anyone dropped on you but,
In regard to your situation I think messageman would be good to talk to. He claims to have stretched to more than an inch from his original size and seems like a very honest guy.
If you are having success, KEEP AT IT.
It just takes time.
Are you wearing an all day stretcher yet??
I know a suit was a concern for you. Have you tried it though? Maybe two pairs of briefs would help.
From all of the research I have seen on all day stretchers that consistent verdict is that no one has real success unless they are using it for an unbroken span 6-10 hours a day everyday for at least 6 months. No legit person I have ever heard of accomplished 1 inch in any less time than that.
I would say that, plus the weights to stretch your scar tissue out will get you over the hump and back to at least normal.
That's just my two cents though.
Glad you made it over

Stretching regimens have been shown to increase erect length in people who have not had surgery, but who were interested in manual PE exercises. I suspect using their strategies you will regain some if not all of your length back.
If all-day stretchers are not practical on a day-to-day basis, check out thundersplace (dot) com for tips on alternative stretching techniques.
And I feel for ya man, I get so annoyed and frustrated to hear people who undergo "PENIS ENLARGING SURGERY" actually lose size. Granted, we've speculated on some potential culprits (i.e. scar tissue) but it makes you wonder why the doctor didn't stress that BEFORE the procedure? Why would he advertise size/length gains when a certain portion of his clients actually risk losing length!? It's maddening I say!
Imagine a young lady goes in for breast implants to get a larger bust, only to come home 2 cups smaller...and only to be assured by the doctor that its part of the risks involved... I mean that is ludicrous! One thing is infection or rejection...but to experience something OPPOSITE of what you paid money to achieve is insane.
I'm happy to hear you've gained something back - that's indicative that you'll gain more down the road. Just keep at it!

This "Retraction Post-Op" issue really needs to be addressed by the Phalloplasty Medical community as a whole. I wonder how much communication goes on between these (essentially competing) surgeons?
I wouldn't be surprised if there was more Research&Development on these boards than what the doctor's actually invest.
Length loss is one of the major holdups I have with actually going under the knife at the moment. I wonder if the "spacer" technique that gets floated around once in a while has some practical use in preventing scar tissue from pulling back the penis... ??

I am almost certain that there is NO R&D...It is trial and error on us.
Most of these surgeons have big egos and will not talk to each other, they each think "they" are the best...
Yes, there is probably more good info on these boards than the Dr's have, but they chose not to be bothered with it.

Yardstick, I can't post there myself (though I have not been banned...yet).
This site was created in response to the bullshit going on over there, so you can rest assured that while I'm admin, none of those m-n-shenanigans will be going on!

The loss of length is like black magic, you never know what the F... is going on and all the Dr's seem to care less about it. I have no clue why they would underplay its importance.
I am over 9 months now with the implant and I am just starting to see the smallest amount of length returning, not even sure if it is error in measurement even thu I try to be very accurate.
While you have your reasons not to have sex due to loss of length, may be having sex with your new girth may help out. Most girls do not care about length as long as girth is there.

Hey, join the club!!!! If it makes you feel any better, I am 4" flaccid and about 5-5.25 erect...I used to be a good 6.25" erect It is taking a loooong time to see return to original length. I think you had your ligs cut, so you may see actual increase, just be patient. You had a couple of girls after you a while back, I'd take them all the way and enjoy with them your new girth...may be having actual sex will improve things!

Girth > Length when it comes to providing pleasure, and I'm sure most sources back that observation up.

5.25 I would say is slightly above average.

Yardstick, I think 5.25 girth is very respectable, Thats what I had before the implant and I always was told I was thick and filled em' up! LOL Now I have to be careful not to go in too fast with 6.5" I'm not compaining, it's nice...... BUT.... as you may know I was one of the lucky ones with Elist .... no length loss, or complications..... hopefully it stays that way. Good luck 5 .25 ain't bad at all.

Hi All Been away for a while. I had three procedures with Dr Rosenthal. My primary concern was curvature correction. He told me that usually as a result of this procedure there is a loss of .5-1". I also had the belloderm and ligament detachment. I had the surgery at the end of August, but did not recieve the lengthening kit until Nov 11th.
Before surgery I was 6" in length, following surgery I was 5" in length. After 4 weeks of the streaching "exercises" I am now 6" in length again. You are suppose to do the exercises for 4 months, and I will continue, but in my case it came back faster than expected.

YS,
Be patient w/it. Are you doing the All Day Stretch device? Like Messageman said in an earlier post its a marathon not a sprint. I'm sure you'll get back whatever you lost just keep the faith in what you're doing. As for weights vs all day traction , oi heard weight may give a greater gain initially but it tapers off and that ADS traction yields more in the long term. I don't know maybe someone w/more experience in that area can offer some insight.
Stay positive you'll get there!

From my research it appears the greatest side-effect from alloderm, and also belloderm I assume, is shrinkage. This might be the result of the loss in length Yardstick. Hopefully, the gains you make from lig cutting will over compensate the shrinkage from the potential side-effect of alloderm shrinkage. www.ehow.com/about_5580863_alloderm-side-effects-warnings.htmlI am considering the surgery myself and all your postings are of great help in my research, so thanks everyone.
