Envision, the pics are pretty good but I was under the impression that PMMA was not permanent, maybe the doctor could elaborate. Hoddle raises a good point too, fillers raise the question of how "real" they feel. And since its synthetic, rejection is also another risk, no?

I received two new emails from his nurse today. They really seem to be genuinely nice caring people. Whom LOVE questions!

Here's a summary of the first and second emails I received.

Dr Casavantes has been working with fillers for two decades and PMMA for eight years. The penis will be larger and have increased sensitivity in the erect state and appear longer in the flaccid state. PMMA is permanent and surgical removal is the only removal method. Steroid injections can reduce and soften areas if needed. Side effects from the procedure will include bruising and swelling. You are able to resume normal activity as soon as you feel comfortable and the entry points at the pubis area have healed. PMMA has been used in the body for over fifty years without any pharmacological reactions with the human body.

The third email Q & A

1. In my research I read that Dr Casavantes receives his Medical PMMA "New Plastic" from a medical lab in Brazil and is up for FDA approval. Is this correct?

A. Dr Casavantes and his group are working towards the registration of PMMA with the FDA, but it will be a long process. To begin with, there is a PMMA based product already registered by the FDA (Arteplast) that has its patent until 2014. Of course, they cannot do anything before that time.

2. What is the difference between Silicone injections and PMMA "New Plastic"?

A. Please make very clear we DO NOT use silicone oil (also known as siloxane, polysiloxane, dimethylpolysiloxane) for any of our procedures. Besides its popularity and extensive use, silicone has never been approved as a soft tissue filler, and those breast implants filled with it, ended up as what some people call the "silicone holocaust". History of the use of the oil as a filler has been around for over 60 years!!!
- We only use polymethtylmethacrylate ( also known as PMMA), that is comprised by micro-spheres of SOLID PLASTIC and suspended in a water based, absorbable vehicle. The fact that the first one is an oil and that the second one is a solid plastic makes a complete difference, besides other technical characteristics of the highly studied, controlled and approved PMMA.

3. What are the possible complications associated with PMMA?

A. The highest percentage of complications associated with PMMA are technique (poor training) related. The product is very safe, but has to be used by a highly qualified physician with a lot of experience.

4. Have you seen disfigured penises from using this product?

A. We have seen disfigured penises in patients that have had extensive amounts of the product. There must be a limit in the number of sessions, the concentration and the amount of product to create a safe procedure. Again the procedure needs to be performed by a highly qualified physician with a lot of experience.

5. How many sessions are needed?

A. As with all Bioplasty procedures, patients have to come back for a second session.

6. What is the amount injected at each session?

A. Sessions are usually done with 10 - 15 cc of 10% pmma.

7. What type of aftercare is needed?

A. Aftercare doesn't take much special care. Patients receive an easy to follow instruction sheet after the treatment. No need to stay in the area or have medical assistance. Most patients fly back to their cities either the same, or the next day.

8. What does the pmma feel like?

A. The implant is palpable. However, patients that received the correct dose (2 sessions, 10%, 10 - 15 cc) will get more acceptable results. No patient has ever complained about the implant being palpable, even though they sometimes notice it themselves.

9. Can I have the lengthening procedure or other procedures after having the PMMA?

A. PMMA is a permanent filler. The only way to extract it is by physically removing it through skin openings. However, it doesn't interfere with other procedures like surgical lengthening and such.

10. What are long term affects of pmma?

A. PMMA will not affect your health down the road, like silicone does.

1. Is the cost of the second procedure included in the $1500 initial fee?

A. The cost for additional treatments is charged by the amount of the product used, and is typically one half of the first treatment. This is also dependent on what your expectations are for the second treatment.

15 cc is usually the maximum product used at any one session. The gains are like you see in the photos. In the flaccid state, the penis is unable to retract, creating longer length.

2. Can the Glans (head) be enlarged using pmma?

A. Temporary fillers such as Restylane can be used to augment the glans.

Can you guys think of any questions I may have missed? They usually email back within a few hours. When I asked them what it feels like they replied it is palpable but they have never had a patient complain about this. The Doctor himself has injected his deltoids and I think his butt with pmma. He performs brazilian butt lifts, muscle enhancement, facial reconstruction, penis enlargements using PMMA "New Plastic". I wanted to ask if he has injected his own penis but I thought that might be a little personal (?).
