E.P. I'm not sure but I think you'll more likely get answers (and visibility to this question) at the General Phalloplasty Discussion board. The Surgical Methods forum is typically designed to post links and articles regarding those who do scrotal work, not so much inquiries (which is more often better suited at the General board). I'll go ahead and move it so this question gets more visibility. I'm pretty familiar with penis procedures but I'm lacking in knowledge when it comes to scrotal work. Hopefully one of our members or moderators can chime in.

Hey Evil, I have the implant and have developed a major turkey neck, one of the drawbacks to the implant. I'm going to have surgery to correct this; I’ll post my experience and results. It's a fairly simple procedure and for the most part has produced positive results. I understand that the scar is minimal and recovery is quick.
On a personal note, one of the other members cautioned, I could be in jeopardy of developing an infection and this can be very dangerous with the implant, Hmmm.. I'm going to get the surgery, just processing the best approach to minimize the possibility of infection.
Any thoughts from members would be helpful.

So making scrotal webbing more noticable is a side effect of PMMA? Can you explain how this happens?

EP, when I looked at Dr. C's website, I thought he had a surgeon that did scrotal web reduction. It does look like a fairly straight forward procedure. I know that Dr. Reed does this. I e-mailed him about his procedures about a year ago. I'll see if I still have that email.
@ ck62498, are you having Dr. E do the webbing reduction? Is this a side effect that others have had happen with the implant?
I seem to have a similar problem. I am 41, been doing manual PE on and off for years. In the last couple of years it seems that my webbing has become more evident. I am wondering if this is a result of pumping for me? Maybe it is a girth increase (either temp or perm) that increases this? It would explain some of the issues with ck62498 and you possibly? It seems counter-intuitive though.
I am planning on doing a PMMA procedure in Jan. '12. It would be interesting to see if others that have done girth procedures or are pumping have had this issue occur.

That's true Biggerbob, there is a plastic surgeon employed by Dr. C's office, it wouldn't hurt to check with them.

i actually think this one is VERY common because a lot of times guys get this from a too severe circumcision or from natural PE. this is not a vanity thing. its for making the penis look more natural in my opinion. meaning this procedure is for a guy with large or small penis.

Biggerbob, I can only speak for myself so this is how I see it. I was very small flaccid before the implant which translates into not very much shaft skin. With the implant or possibly any girth surgery there is more volume that occupies the available shaft skin. The extra skin needed for my increase came from my scrotum. Flaccid I'm ok, Erect I have a fair amount of scrotum skin that has to move forward to accommodate the increased erect volume. This does effect the use of condoms because you cannot slide the condom all the way to the base.. Also, wrapping is one of the most important procedures one can do to ensure the best possible result with the implant. For me it has always been a struggle to wrap all the way to the base because of the extra skin.
For me this procedure would be purely cosmetic. Dr. E will not be performing the surgery.. I'm leaning towards Dr. Reed, he has the most confidence "can't speak of experience, although he has done more then most" with this procedure. I think Dr. Reed can give me the results as I've articulate them. Dr. E has not been the finest when it comes to the little details of his procedures. This is only my interpretation of my experience and does not reflect the opinions of others.

There was a guy at Thundersplace who had this done by Dr Rosenthal. He actually posted photos so it might be worth taking a look.
I'm failry sure I read that Reed doesn't use the Z-plasty technique, which to me is an advantage. I don't know for sure, but I think Reed might have learned his technique from either Miro or Dr Perovic.

CK, I appreciate the input, I would like to know how it goes if you do it with Reed. I have a feeling that I will probably need to get this done once I get through my procedures with the PMMA. I have a fairly large web already, but I want to wait until I get through the other stuff before getting that done. Unfortunately, I must have deleted the email I had from Dr. Reed about that, sorry.
EP, are you still looking at having this done now that you're pretty much done with the PMMA? If so, who are you looking at doing this? BTW, welcome back, your input is valuable!

EP,
I just wanted to get your take on whether or not the "goose/turkey neck" issue has any affect on the success of PMMA. Do you think it creates the potential for migration into the scrotum during the procedure or shortly thereafter? Would you get this issue resolved prior to PMMA if you could start over?
Also, can you feel where the PMMA "drops off" along the shaft near the pubic bone?
